At the health center in Lessebo, we offer basic healthcare for all age groups, counseling, rehabilitation, preventive health initiatives, child health services, and psychiatric expertise. The health center is centrally located in Lessebo, a 10-minute walk from the train station and a 2-minute walk from the bus station, making it easy to commute by both train and bus. At our facility, the patient is at the center, and we always do our best to ensure our patients receive quality care and feel safe and confident through good care. Child health services are offered both at the family center in Lessebo and at the health center's branch in Hovmantorp. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The position focuses on child health services as part of a family center serving children aged 0-5 years and their parents. At the family center, we work closely with maternal health services, open preschool, and preventive social services. In Lessebo, child health services together with preventive social services offer an expanded home visit program. This means that all first-time parents are offered four home visits together with preventive social services. Through close collaboration with other professionals, we work with the best interests of the child in focus and provide comprehensive support to children and their parents. The mission of child health services is to promote children's health and development, prevent illness, and early identify and intervene when there are signs of mental, physical, and social health concerns. Supporting parents so that all parents have the opportunity to increase their knowledge about children's needs is a central part of child health work. You will be well-versed in issues related to child development, growth, vaccinations, health consultations, and parenting support. As a nurse in child health services, you will lead group parenting support where parents have the opportunity to meet and exchange experiences with each other. You will be offered ongoing training to develop your professional role. As a nurse in child health services, you will participate in case consultation led by a parent-child health psychologist, where you will have the opportunity to exchange experiences with colleagues from other child health centers. As a district nurse/child health nurse in primary care, you can also contribute your expertise at our on-call medical center. We are here for our residents, on weekends and weekdays after 5 p.m. Many of us share this responsibility, and we will offer you special introduction training for the on-call center so that you feel confident and can develop in your role. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a licensed child health nurse or district nurse, preferably with experience from a health center or other clinic work. The work requires the ability to switch between independent tasks and team collaboration. A structured and responsible work approach is important, as is the ability to adapt when situations change. Digital tools are a natural part of daily work and are used to support operations.
