Dedicated and Qualified Teacher/Leisure-Time Instructor at Ekeby School

We are now seeking a dedicated and qualified teacher/leisure-time instructor at Ekeby School Ekeby School is an F-6 school with just over 100 students and 16 staff members. The school is located in Ekeby, on the outskirts of Kumla, with nature as our closest neighbor. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Together with your colleagues, you will create an engaging, safe, and coherent day for the students. You and your colleagues will stimulate students to learn in an environment adapted based on the group's and students' interests, abilities, and needs. The leisure-time program is an important part of our activities. Leisure-time pedagogy is central throughout the school day, for example during recess activities. Together with a teacher, you will be responsible for and teach in grades F-1. You will also work in the leisure-time program. Your responsibilities include: • Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in the preschool class and leisure-time program, based on the curriculum. • In collaboration with the teacher, implement the Swedish National School Board's assessment materials for the preschool class, in order to early identify students' knowledge development and adapt teaching to students' needs. • Build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. • Create safe and stimulating learning environments based on the individual's and group's abilities and needs. • Show confidence in students' abilities and encourage comprehensive development and learning. • Use methods and approaches that lead to the best possible goal achievement. • Support children's social development and upbringing, development of their interests, taking own initiative, and taking responsibility for themselves and others. • Be part of a teaching team and/or leisure-time program team, where you are expected to participate actively in daily operations and systematic quality work. QUALIFICATIONS To thrive in the role of teacher/leisure-time instructor at Ekeby School, you need to have good collaboration skills and a flexible attitude, as the school is small and those of us working here need to help each other in our daily work. A calm and composed approach and understanding of the relational perspective and the school's compensatory mission are important, both in work in grades F-1 and in the leisure-time program. You should feel confident and clear in your leadership role and enjoy combining teaching with planning and leading groups of children in various creative activities, games, and play. As a person, you are confident, have an easy time collaborating and building relationships, and have a professional approach toward students, parents, and colleagues. You must have teacher training with qualification to teach grades F-1 or be trained as a leisure-time instructor or leisure-time pedagogue. Previous experience working in a preschool class is a merit, as is a good understanding of children with various difficulties. We place great importance on personal suitability. Teacher of Home and Consumer Studies at Adapted Primary School

We at Kumlaby Adapted Primary School are seeking a teacher of home and consumer studies starting spring term 2027! We are currently working on our prioritized development area, which is to develop the quality of instruction. We work in teams because we believe that everyone who works with us has something to contribute. Right now we are developing a new way of working where we work more based on each teacher's specific competence and take advantage of it by having instruction take place in a larger context. Examples of this could be thematic approaches where multiple subjects and student groups are combined. By working together, we can create the best conditions for our students. As a teacher, you contribute your specific knowledge and experience. In this way, we can utilize all employees' abilities and knowledge to create new opportunities for students to develop. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES All our students have intellectual disabilities and we are therefore seeking you who want to teach this target group. You will teach students in both orientations of the adapted primary school, subjects and subject areas. To be able to offer students individual development, we work with continuous follow-up to be able to challenge each individual in the best way. This includes, among other things, that we conduct instruction based on both the primary school and adapted primary school curricula. We have the students' life perspectives in focus and our goal is to give our students useful experiences and insights. Communication, structure and clarity are important guiding principles in our operations. For you as a teacher to be able to carry out your assignment, it is important that you do not feel alone. We have therefore built up a student health service with enhanced expertise in the form of a speech-language pathologist. We are seeking you who have a teaching qualification in home and consumer studies. We want you to have knowledge of what intellectual disability means. It is meritorious if you have previously worked in an adapted primary school, alternatively with students within the autism spectrum, and if you have knowledge of AAC (augmentative and alternative communication). Being positive, committed and flexible as well as having the ability to think innovatively are qualities that we highly value. You have good collaboration skills and a positive and professional attitude toward students, parents and colleagues. You should be curious about students' different ways of thinking, learning and understanding and view their individual needs as a challenge.
