About the Role As a Controller, you will have a central role in analyzing, monitoring, and developing the company's financial results. You work closely with production and contribute both operational and strategic insights. You are responsible for ensuring efficient resource utilization through profitability analyses and cost monitoring. Budgeting and ongoing forecasting are central parts of your work, as is participation in the financial closing process to ensure high quality in financial reports. You will become an important part of one of our larger management groups and work closely with key personnel in the organization. The role also involves an active responsibility in developing procedures and systems to continuously improve financial management and reporting. You report to the Finance Manager. Metsä Board is a publicly listed company, which means regular monthly reporting with tight deadlines (especially the first week of each month) and continuous forecasting work. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a university or college degree in economics and a good understanding of the fundamentals of accounting and financial processes. To be successful in the role, you should have several years of experience in controlling, preferably in an operations-focused role, and enjoy working independently and in collaboration with others to analyze, develop, and drive financial processes forward. Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, is required, while work experience with larger business systems such as SAP is a merit. Work shifts are scheduled for morning, afternoon, and night. What will your role be with us? As a fiber line operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring the cooking, washing, oxygen bleaching, and bleaching processes. You will work both in the control room and out in the process facility, controlling and optimizing processes from wood chips to finished bleached pulp. Rotation between different work positions within the fiber line occurs, which provides a varied and developmental work environment.
