Shift-Based Pulp Mill Operator at Metsä Board Husum

Do you want to work in a modern process industry where safety, sustainability, and development are in focus? Now you have the chance to become part of our team at Metsä Board Husum! We are looking for an engaged and driven operator for the fiber line.
These positions are permanent full-time employment with continuous shift work. Work shifts are scheduled for morning, afternoon, and night.
What will your role be with us?
As a fiber line operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring the cooking, washing, oxygen bleaching, and bleaching processes. You will work both in the control room and out in the process facility, controlling and optimizing processes from wood chips to finished bleached pulp. Rotation between different work positions within the fiber line occurs, which provides a varied and developmental work environment.
Your main responsibilities
Monitor and control processes via control systems (DCS) and perform rounds.
Handle operational disturbances and perform basic maintenance.
Follow safety procedures and contribute to order and cleanliness.
Participate in improvement work and process optimization.

We are looking for someone who is responsible, solution-oriented, and comfortable with shift work and teamwork. You are flexible, can quickly adapt to changes, and remain calm in pressured situations. You take initiative, are self-driven, and have a clear focus on goals and results.
Qualifications
Requirements
High school education with technical focus (e.g., mathematics, chemistry, physics).
Ability to read and follow instructions and understand technical processes.
High safety awareness and attention to detail.
Advantages
Experience from process industry or similar.
Basic knowledge of control systems/DCS and industrial IT.
