About Our DBT Homes Our DBT homes serve girls aged 14 to 20 who are in at-risk environments, have experimented with drugs, or struggle with mental health issues that may lead to norm-breaking behavior, relationship difficulties, and self-harm. The girls live in a home-like environment that provides a strong foundation for the treatment services we offer. We are located in Höganäs municipality. About the Position As a treatment worker with us, you will work directly in treatment with our young people. You are required to approach DBT as your method in both your work approach and way of relating to clients. It is crucial that you can work in a structured manner while also making independent decisions. You are expected to contribute to a validating environment where your interactions are based on a dialectical communication style. Your work includes collaborating with families/networks, social workers, and other stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include administrative tasks, everyday household-related services, and guiding and coaching young people in their daily lives. It is essential that you have knowledge of documentation and the Social Services Act. In your work, you need to be prepared to handle difficult situations, such as meeting our young people when they are depressed as well as upset. You need to be able to handle situations such as when a young person self-harms or acts agitated. You should be able to manage stressful situations and have the courage to set boundaries and be consistent in your work with our young people, even during difficult moments. About You We would prefer that you have relevant higher education (180 credits), ideally a degree as a social worker/behavioral scientist or a social pedagogue from vocational school. It is an advantage if you have training in our methods. It would be beneficial if you have worked in a similar role. Your personal suitability will play a major role in the recruitment process based on your ability to create safety and trust in your interaction with clients. To work with us, you should have a genuine interest in working with our target group, you should find it easy to build trusting relationships while being able to set boundaries and be clear in your adult role. You collaborate well with colleagues and can also work independently. You have high integrity, are professional and respectful in your interactions. About the work As a treatment pedagogue at KABiT, you work closely with young people in their everyday lives. This means you participate in everything from structured treatment work to daily routines and activities. Workdays can look very different. For example, you might support a young person preparing for school, attend a meeting, cook together, plan an activity, or help resolve a difficult situation. An important part of the role is creating predictability and security. For many of our young people, functioning relationships with adults is an important part of development. Therefore, you need to be present and engaged while also being able to set clear boundaries. The work requires both patience and flexibility. A solution that works for one young person may not work for another. We therefore work in individually tailored ways and try to understand what lies behind a behavior rather than simply reacting to what is visible in the moment. What you get at KABiT: · At the beginning of your employment, you attend an orientation day where our unit managers present the operations, routines, and expectations. · We offer both company-wide and individual development opportunities. · We work with a unit manager on-site at all units, which means short decision-making processes and operational support in your work every day. · External supervision. · Wellness allowance of 2500 kr/year. Requirements: Relevant post-secondary education, for example as a social pedagogue, social worker, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience working with young people, preferably within HVB or similar operations. Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing. Class B driver's license as the work includes driving. Merits: Experience working with young people with NPF, self-harm behavior, OCD, eating disorders, or other challenging behaviors. Knowledge of low-arousal approaches and experience handling threatening or challenging situations. Basic knowledge in BBIC, TMO, or CBT. Experience with documentation in journal systems. What are we looking for in you? Beyond education and experience, your personal qualities are important. You need to be able to meet young people calmly and respectfully in all situations. You can be clear without becoming confrontational and you understand the value of building relationships. You also need to be able to accept that development takes time; sometimes you need to try several different approaches before finding the one that works. You are stable and remain calm when much is happening around you, you can combine warmth with clear boundaries, and you take responsibility and work independently.
