Team Leader for the Prevention Unit

Do you want to lead a team within prevention work? Are you interested in contributing to the Social Administration's development of first-line services and efforts? JOB RESPONSIBILITIES You have a central role in leading, coordinating, and developing the operations. Your assignment involves leading and distributing daily work and providing close support to employees in their development. An important part of the role is guiding and supporting colleagues in their work and contributing to operations characterized by quality, participation, and a shared focus on the best interest of the child. You lead group coordinators for parenting support, group activities, and preventive social workers within the team. The assignment also includes leading family counselors working at family centers and creating good conditions for coordinated and efficient prevention work. The role involves a strong focus on development and change work where you drive and implement improvements based on operational needs and goals. You are part of a joint management group with Unit 2, meaning two managers and four team leaders who lead the units together. Collaboration is a natural part of the assignment. You work closely with both internal and external partners and build long-term relationships to strengthen prevention work. Your team has extensive collaboration with schools, culture and leisure activities, police, and other public actors. Area-based work and presence in the local community are important parts of the operations to identify needs early and create safe conditions for children and young people. QUALIFICATIONS You are a social worker or behavioral scientist and meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's eligibility requirements. We want you to have work experience in social work and school collaboration. It is meritorious if you have leadership experience and experience working with parenting support. You have a genuine child rights perspective, a focus on residents, and knowledge and interest in prevention work. Social Worker for the Investigation Unit for Children and Families, Units 1 and 2

In the Investigation Units for Children and Families, we work with cases within individual and family care (IFO) for children and young people ages 0–20. We work to create social security for children, young people, and adults with the goal of achieving social sustainability. We are an important part of the municipality's work for increased security, where our mission is to prevent and counteract risk factors such as norm-breaking behavior, mental illness, and children witnessing violence. When working with children and young people with norm-breaking and acting-out behavior, we use evidence-based assessment instruments such as EARL, SAVRY, and ERASOR. We also have two employees in the Social Workers at Police assignment and two SIG coordinators (social intervention groups). We also have several senior case handlers who support other social workers in case processes. With us you get close leadership and thorough orientation. WORK TASKS As a social worker in the investigation unit, you work with public administration according to applicable legislation and apply a systems theory perspective supported by the Signs of Safety approach. With the user in focus and normalization as the starting point, the task is to describe, analyze, and assess needs. By conducting motivation work and working so that more children can remain in their home environment, we have a case process with enhanced home-based care with qualified interventions in the home. The work involves investigating and documenting applications and reports according to the Social Services Act, conducting safety assessments, making well-founded and quality-assured decisions. You follow up on interventions and placements, prepare cases according to LVU and LVM, and receive new applications and reports. The role also includes appearing in administrative court and presenting cases in the board, with support from the team leader if needed.
