We are seeking new colleagues for hourly temporary positions within economic assistance who want to work extra during their studies. In the economic assistance department, we handle applications and assess eligibility for economic assistance. We meet, guide, and motivate individuals seeking assistance toward self-sufficiency through work or education. We are society's last safety net and are here for those who need us. We who work within economic assistance are divided into four different units. You will be introduced at one unit but may work with us all once you're up to speed. You will be part of a work group with other social workers, team leaders, and unit managers. One or two supervisors will be available to you throughout your introduction. In our operations, there is high expertise, diverse experience, varied ages, and a strong sense of team. WORK TASKS As a social worker with us, you will investigate and make decisions regarding eligibility for economic assistance according to the Social Services Act (SoL). You will work to support and motivate individuals toward education, employment, and labor market measures through the Employment Agency or toward skills development activities organized by the municipality. A particular focus right now is on assessing applicants' opportunities to participate in the activity requirement. Here you get an exciting and important role where you exercise public authority while gaining valuable experience in social work. You become part of a professional work group with strong client focus and good holistic perspective. You will be able to develop your knowledge in investigative work, documentation, information gathering, and collaboration with other agencies, both within the municipality and beyond. You will also gain experience writing statements for the Administrative Court. At the same time, you will meet many different people with varying support needs, where it becomes important to see the individual and their situation. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have an interest in meeting people in different life situations and want to help individuals receive support on the path to self-sufficiency. You are studying to become a social worker or behavioral scientist with a focus on pedagogy, psychology, or sociology. If you have a passed course in social law, that is an advantage. It is also meritorious if you have experience with investigative work and public authority exercise, preferably within economic assistance. Experience exercising public authority in other areas or other forms of social work, such as family treatment, psychiatry, or residential support, is also meritorious. We also view positively experience working in record-keeping systems, such as Viva.
