Job Description We are seeking a full-time career and educational counselor. Your responsibilities will include career and educational guidance for students and collaboration with parents and school staff. Your work will involve guiding and informing our students individually and in groups regarding upcoming educational and career choices. You will also manage administrative tasks related to upper secondary school applications and plan and follow up on work experience placements. Working together with educators and Bergsjö School's student health team, you will promote and prevent issues to improve student wellbeing and increase goal achievement for all students. You will also provide support to staff at other schools in the municipality regarding education and working life matters, and work to expand collaboration with the business and industry sector. You are also responsible for revising the municipality's career and educational guidance plan. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is trained as a career and educational counselor and who: Has the ability to motivate students and create a safe and educational school environment. Your Assignment We are now seeking a new employee for an ESF project focused on young people aged 16-29 who are neither working nor studying (NEET) and whom the Employment Service has determined they do not reach, thereby risking long-term exclusion. The project period is 260901 - 290430. Your work includes supporting, activating, and guiding individuals one-on-one and sometimes in groups, as well as following up on and documenting their progress. The assignment encompasses everything from assessment and coaching, individual conversations focused on progression, to pre-rehabilitation activities and job-search activities, as well as arranging various types of internships, created employment positions, and work training placements for the project's target group. Nordanstig Municipality has a well-developed approach with our social enterprises. Within this project, collaboration and developed relationships with civil society actors are a clear focus. You will be the main project coordinator and will be responsible for documentation, registration, and follow-up for the project owner Region Gävleborg and the financier European Social Fund. The work shall follow the project description provided and, together with other colleagues on the unit, support the target group covered by the project. Your Qualifications You should have education relevant to the position, preferably in the behavioral sciences field or equivalent as assessed by the employer. You have broad knowledge and experience within the field and are accustomed to working with people with physical and/or mental functional variations. You are also well-versed and comfortable with documentation in operational systems. You have a class B driver's license.
