Experienced Leader for the Position of Grid Manager at Karlskoga Energi & Miljö

Do you want to lead and develop a mission-critical operation in the midst of energy transition? As Grid Manager at Karlskoga Energi & Miljö, you will have a central role in developing our electricity grid and in creating the conditions for Karlskoga's continued electrification and growth. Sweden's electrical system is undergoing extensive change. Electrification, increased demands for supply reliability, and new needs from both society and business place high demands on the future electricity grid. For us, this means a major focus on developing our operations and making long-term investments in our local electricity grid. Here you will have the opportunity to lead that development together with engaged and skilled colleagues. The Assignment As Grid Manager, you hold overall responsibility for the operations of Karlskoga Electricity Grid and for leading, developing, and creating long-term favorable conditions for the electricity grid. You are responsible for operations, personnel, and finances, and work with both strategic and long-term matters as well as the ongoing development of operations. The assignment includes, among other things, ensuring a safe, robust, and cost-effective electricity grid as well as driving development within organization, working methods, technology, and grid business. The role involves many contact points, both within Karlskoga Energi & Miljö and with customers, authorities, the municipality, suppliers, and other actors in the energy sector. As Grid Manager, you will be an important part of our continued development and are expected to be able to combine a long-term perspective with an understanding of operational activities. Who Are You? We are looking for you as a confident and engaged leader with the ability to create structure, direction, and participation. You thrive on leading through others and have a genuine interest in developing both people and operations. You have relevant university education in, for example, electrical power, energy, or engineering, or alternatively other education and experience that we deem equivalent. You have experience in leadership and preferably from electricity grid operations, the energy sector, technical infrastructure, or other operations with similar conditions. Experience in electrical power, electricity distribution, electrical safety, and ESA is a merit, as is experience in change management and business development. To succeed in the role, we believe that you are communicative and clear and have an easy time creating trust and good collaborations. You can switch between strategic matters and operational leadership and are comfortable making decisions and driving matters forward. Operations Technician at the Combined Heat and Power Plant

The district heating is supplied to residential buildings and industries in Karlskoga, and the steam to industries in the Björkborn industrial area. The Assignment In your role as an operations technician, you will be an important part of our operations department, which is responsible for the continuous operation of the combined heat and power plant's facilities for fuel handling, production, and distribution of district heating, steam, and electricity. Here you will work both practically and analytically – from planning and optimization to development and improvement of our production units. You will be part of an engaged team with six rotating shift crews and a daytime operations group. Together we work for safe operations today and even smarter energy production tomorrow. Electrician for Our Water and Wastewater Operations

We are currently looking for an electrician to assist across our entire water and wastewater operations, which include water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, and distribution networks. Here you have the opportunity to work with sustainability in practice and make an environmental contribution for all of Karlskoga. Job Responsibilities As an electrician, you will primarily work with electrical installations, troubleshooting, controls and regulation, monitoring of electrical systems, and inspection of safety systems. Work takes place at water treatment and wastewater treatment plants, as well as at the over one hundred facilities located throughout the municipality. This means work occurs both indoors and outdoors. No two days are the same, and you have considerable autonomy in managing your day.
