At Fjätervålen, we are known for our well-groomed slopes. Quality of both slopes and cross-country trails is of utmost importance. On some slopes we produce snow, but on most slopes we use our snow nets that capture natural snow. We have 18 runs of all difficulty levels as well as a fun park and a cross-country technique park. We also groom 5 miles of cross-country trails in the cabin area and up on the mountain. As a snowcat operator, you work in close collaboration with the responsible foreman and day staff in operations to create the best possible experience for our guests. We are looking for you with several years of experience, who is used to working independently and in all weather conditions up on the mountain. A snowcat operator license is a requirement. About Älvdalens Parish Älvdalen is a community with a strong local identity, rich cultural heritage, and closeness to forests, mountains, and outdoor life. Here vast forests, mountains, and rivers meet and form a landscape that shapes people's daily lives. Älvdalska—a unique and living language—is an important part of the community's character. Craftsmanship, folk music, and traditional celebrations have a natural place in local life, as do nature and outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and hiking. The parish has strong roots in the community and close collaboration with the municipality, including within schools and elder care. We are also engaged in local initiatives such as POSOM, BRÅ, and efforts to preserve the Älvdalska language.
