As an associate minister in Älvdalens Parish, you'll work closely with parishioners, volunteers, colleagues, and the local community. Your duties include services, pastoral rituals, spiritual care, teaching, and meeting with people throughout their lives. You'll be part of a team where collaboration, trust, and shared responsibility are important parts of daily work. At the same time, there is room to develop your own ideas and special areas of responsibility based on your gifts and experience, for example in liturgy, teaching, children and youth, adults, and the elderly. About Älvdalens Parish Älvdalen is a community with a strong local identity, rich cultural heritage, and proximity to forests, mountains, and outdoor life. Here vast forests, mountains, and rivers meet and shape a landscape that characterizes people's daily lives. Älvdalska—a unique and living language—is an important part of the community's identity. Craftsmanship, folk music, and traditional celebrations have a natural place in the local community, as do nature and outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, and hiking. The parish is well-anchored in the community and works closely with the municipality, including in schools and elderly care. We are also engaged in local initiatives such as POSOM, BRÅ, and efforts to preserve the Älvdalska language. Älvdalen also offers a daily life with high quality—with nature nearby, a slower pace, and a community where you quickly become part of the context. Children's and youth activities are growing and are an important part of the parish's future.
