About the Role This is a position for someone who wants to combine overall responsibility with presence in the parish's daily life. You lead the parish's life and activities, serve as manager for staff, and work closely with the parish council to create shared direction, sustainable structures, and long-term development. About Älvdalens Parish Älvdalen is a community with a strong local identity, rich cultural heritage, and closeness to forests, mountains, and outdoor life. Here vast forests, mountains, and rivers meet and form a landscape that shapes people's daily lives. Älvdalska—a unique and living language—is an important part of the community's character. Craftsmanship, folk music, and traditional celebrations have a natural place in local life, as do nature and outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and hiking. The parish has strong roots in the community and close collaboration with the municipality, including within schools and elder care. We are also engaged in local initiatives such as POSOM, BRÅ, and efforts to preserve the Älvdalska language. Älvdalen also offers daily life with high quality—with nature around the corner, a slower pace, and a sense of community where you quickly become part of the fabric.
