Renta is establishing a new depot at SSAB in Luleå and is now recruiting an engaged Mechanic to join our team! Are you a technically skilled and solution-oriented person who enjoys working with machines, troubleshooting, and keeping equipment running at peak performance? Then this role might be perfect for you! Your responsibilities: Perform repairs, service, and maintenance on various types of rental machines. Troubleshoot and diagnose both mechanical and electrical systems, as well as work with hydraulics and pneumatics. Use both digital and analog diagnostic tools to quickly identify and resolve technical issues. Inspect the machine's external and internal functions, including engine status, battery, hydraulic systems, and much more. Ensure machines are in top condition before being sent to customers. Document work in Renta's administrative systems to manage work orders. Renta's customers build all sorts of things with our machines. Sometimes they come back in one piece, sometimes they don't. What they always need, however, is a little care and attention. You will receive and assess the condition of machines, service and repair them, and sometimes even handle emergency work in the field. You will also help with new depot setups and support the rest of the team, from rental coordinators to distributors. We work together, because building is a team sport. We're looking for someone who has: A workshop background. A positive attitude, is outgoing, and customer-service minded. Strong technical knowledge in both mechanics and electronics, preferably with experience in machine maintenance and troubleshooting. Good computer skills as you will work in various quote and order management systems. A valid B-class driver's license is required. The ability to work independently, be flexible, and take responsibility. As a Mechanic, you will be a valuable resource in Renta's team and will work closely with depot managers, order and transport staff, inside sales, and of course the workshop team. Merits: BE or B96 license and forklift certification are advantageous. Experience working with lifts, forklifts, or other large machines. Hot work certificate. Experience with diesel engines. Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and troubleshooting. Welding skills. Why Renta?
