Luleå Port is growing and developing with major projects and investments. Here you get a key role in creating structure and quality in both projects and operations, together with engaged colleagues.
Luleå Port is Luleå and Norrbotten's sustainable link to the world. We are a proud community builder and an important enabler for industry, business, and life in the north. Our workplace extends from port, offices, and quays to archipelago and sea. Right now we are shaping the port of the future, and on that journey we want to be a safe workplace where we support each other, on land and at sea.
About the role
As a QMS Coordinator, you are responsible for ensuring that work within quality, environment, and occupational health and safety functions in practice – in projects and in operations.
You work both operatively and strategically in the role. The majority of the work takes place close to operations and projects, where you provide support in daily work and ensure that routines, requirements, and processes are followed. At the same time, you contribute at a more overarching level by developing working methods, creating structure, and working with follow-ups so that operations are continuously improved. The role therefore involves a combination of practical operations-focused work and long-term development, with a clear emphasis on operational support in projects and operations.
You belong to the Safety and Port Management department and work closely with project managers, site managers, and other functions within the operations. The role involves ensuring that legal requirements, permits, and internal routines are complied with and participating in risk assessments, safety inspections, and follow-ups. You also contribute to work within a complex risk environment related to port operations, shipping, and handling of for example hazardous goods.
An important part of the role is to follow up contractors and suppliers and support operations within your area of responsibility. You also work with developing working methods, processes, and routines, while driving follow-ups, deviation management, and improvement work to create safe and efficient operations.
In the role, you also function as an important link between projects, operations, and contractors. Through close cooperation with both internal and external parties, you ensure that established requirements are integrated into operations, followed up, and implemented in daily work.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for you who want to create structure, quality, and sustainable working methods in an operation that is in constant development. You thrive in a role where you get to combine strategic thinking with operational work close to operations, and where you can contribute to both long-term improvements and daily work.
As a person, you are organized, self-driven, and solution-oriented. You have an easy time collaborating with different types of people and feel comfortable in dialogue with both colleagues and external parties. We also see that you have the ability to translate requirements, guidelines, and regulations into practical and functioning working methods that create value in operations and facilitate daily work.
