JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a VA engineer/project manager, you will play an important role in planning and implementing our future water and sewage projects, both on distribution networks and our technical facilities. As a VA engineer/project manager, you will independently and in various collaborative forms: o Design and develop water and sewage systems including distribution networks, treatment plants, water works, and pumping stations o Participate from early project phases through completed construction documents and procurement specifications o Evaluate and ensure that choices of technical solutions meet applicable standards, requirements, and guidelines o Calculate project budgets o Plan and follow up on projects o Lead projects, ensure quality, and document water and sewage projects o Serve as construction site safety coordinator for design (BAS-P). Operations Manager for Preschool, Nässjö Municipality

We are now seeking an operations manager for preschool at the Department of Children and Education. We are a large department with approximately 1,200 employees working to create a safe and developmental education for children and students – from preschool through primary school and adapted primary school. At the same time, we are a municipality where proximity to operations is a strength, which provides good understanding of everyday conditions and needs. Together with the department's combined expertise, this creates good opportunities to drive long-term and strategic development work. We are a municipality where preschool has a central role, and our 22 preschools lay the foundation for children's lifelong learning. Operations are characterized by great commitment, shared responsibility, and a clear focus on the best interests of children. Preschool operations also include the Department of Children and Education's substitute staffing service and open preschool. Preschool in the municipality is characterized by active development work with a focus on quality, instruction, and assessment. We participate in targeted initiatives together with the Swedish National Agency for Education and follow upcoming reforms that the education system faces. Within operations, several development initiatives are underway, including language and knowledge-developing working methods (SKUA) and the initiative Seen and Missed – a presence-promoting effort for children and students within the department. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As operations manager, you have overall responsibility for preschool throughout the municipality and lead development-oriented work together with an experienced and committed team. You manage nine principals, one unit manager, nine special educators, and two preschool teachers at the open preschool. The organization also includes ten preschool teachers with expanded development assignments, a school psychologist, and administrative staff. Principals and special educators are co-located within the preschool unit, which creates good conditions for collaboration and joint development work. You report directly to the department manager and are part of the department's management group. In this role, you work from City Hall and have overall responsibility for operations, finances, and personnel, as well as ensuring functioning and developed labor relations cooperation. You work from a holistic perspective and lead, plan, and follow up operations with a focus on quality and goal achievement through systematic quality work in close collaboration with principals and other functions. The assignment also includes close collaboration with the operations managers for primary school and student welfare, as well as other internal and external contacts. The following are also included in the position: • Drive and develop preschool's development work, for example within SKUA and Seen and Missed. • Supervise independent preschools. • In collaboration with operations developers, contribute to joint strategic work regarding facilities based on needs and volumes. • Work long-term with competence development in preschool.
