Who are we?
Sandbyängsskolan is a school with students from preschool through grade 6. We have approximately 320 students and just over 40 staff members in our fantastic facilities. In 2019, we moved into a brand new school housed in a beautiful building from the early 1900s in the Sandbyhov district. We have one of Norrköping's newest sports halls, a well-equipped outdoor gym, and proximity to green spaces.
We have a dedicated and stable staff team with high competence and qualifications. Your Responsibilities
As a Physical Education and Health teacher, you work together with colleagues at the school to create a safe, fun, and inclusive environment where each student can be challenged and supported based on their unique circumstances. You plan, deliver, and follow up on Physical Education and Health instruction, and collaborate closely with other teachers and educators, both at the school and at the after-school program.
You are committed to your work and see it as self-evident to see the whole student and find solutions and adaptations to make things work for everyone. You take responsibility and help organize joint activities such as outdoor days and similar events for the entire school.
You are part of a work team with teachers in grades 4–6 and collaborate with mentors based on students' needs. Depending on interest and commitment, there may be an opportunity to participate in the school's safety team.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher with the qualifications to teach Physical Education and Health in grades 1–6. You are confident in your leadership and have the ability to engage and challenge students as well as knowledge of how to meet all students' differences.
You have a positive attitude and are creative and proactive. You are organized, stable, and solution-focused with a flexible approach, and you are responsive and humble in your collaboration with others.
Furthermore, you communicate clearly and adapt your approach to reach students, and you enjoy working in a team. Your commitment and perseverance, together with your ability to build good relationships and meet students' diverse needs, are important qualities for creating a favorable learning environment.
You have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing and are well versed in the school's governing documents.
