Treatment Assistant

We are looking for you to be a trusted adult and want to work with children in their residential setting. We are currently seeking staff for a special fixed-term position (work as needed). Recruitment is ongoing during the application period based on the organization's needs. About Us Creare Care - Allégatan consists of a treatment home with 5 places. The facility is located in Kil, approximately 20 minutes from Karlstad. The organization also includes a treatment home in Fagerås and outpatient services. The target group for the residential setting is girls and boys aged 8-12 years with behavioral challenges. Placement in the facility is made according to SoL or LVU. The placed children have at least 1:1 staffing during all waking hours. About the Work We work with an environmental therapeutic approach based on behavioral science principles and use a low-affect and cognitive approach. As a treatment assistant, you should be able to create a safe environment for the children through a structured and meaningful daily routine. You create a stable relationship with the children and seek them out with curiosity each day to learn more about them. Based on care and implementation plans, you plan and implement treatment work with the placed children individually. We use methods such as TMO - Trauma-Informed Care, CBT for children, TEJPING, MI - Motivational Interviewing, and rePULSE. You work according to an intervention schedule and document your work with the children in our record system. Work tasks also include all practical matters that arise in a home such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, ensuring children's hygiene, and guiding them in daily chores. You will also participate in the organization's development and change work, which aims to strengthen quality and create a good workplace. Regular internal training sessions and meetings related to the work are conducted monthly. A collective agreement exists with Vårdföretagarna. About You You must have at least 2 years of post-secondary education in social work such as treatment assistant, treatment pedagogue, social pedagogue, or equivalent or higher education as assessed by the employer according to applicable regulations on educational requirements for treatment staff at residential care homes.
