In the Interreg project Forest to Chair, you will lead exploratory processes together with companies that want to transition and create circular solutions in practice. We are looking for someone who is passionate about innovation, wood, and sustainable development—and who wants to make a concrete difference in an industry in transition. Now HDK-Valand is seeking an engaged and driven project manager who will work as a process leader (50% employment) with responsibility for the work packages within production. The role is central to the project and involves leading exploratory and innovation-driven activities for small and medium-sized enterprises in wood-based interior production. The position is located at Campus Steneby in Dals Långed, but some work time may be spent at HDK-Valand's offices in Gothenburg. Activities are expected to be conducted both digitally and on-site. Campus Steneby is a unique environment for education and research in design and craftsmanship at Gothenburg University. This includes: Designing programs and activities based on the project's goals and research-based methodology Recruiting participating companies Identifying and engaging relevant expertise/speakers Leading and facilitating activities and workshops Ensuring that practical aspects function: booking facilities, purchasing materials, organizing digital meetings, etc. Maintaining ongoing dialogue with the project manager and other process leaders Communicating with participants and providing them with the information they need Managing the work package budget and reporting results Sharing experiences with the corresponding Norwegian work package Conducting follow-up with participants 6 months after program completion Beyond operational work, administrative tasks are also included, particularly planning, documentation, and ongoing reporting of the work package's results. This is done in close collaboration with the project's controller to ensure high quality and continuity in follow-up. An important part of the role involves horizontal activities, where you participate with other process leaders in joint working groups. Here, experiences, knowledge, and results are shared between different parts of the project, and when needed, joint activities are coordinated—for example, lectures, workshops, or study visits that involve multiple work packages. All of the project's activities are based on research and proven experience, and you will be introduced to the methodology that permeates the entire program. During the work, you will receive pedagogical support to discuss, develop, and refine the design and implementation of activities. NOTE!
