We are now recruiting a support pedagogue for our unit providing short-term residential care and supervision for children and young people with disabilities. Our short-term services offer after-school and holiday activities as well as respite care for families during evenings and weekends in the form of short-term homes. Children and young people of different ages and with various disabilities spend time with us. After the summer, we will be moving to brand new facilities in Öjersjö. As a support pedagogue, you are responsible for implementing and developing methods and working practices in the activity. Qualifications We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in the disability field comprising at least 200 YH points or 60 higher education credits or equivalent, such as support pedagogue, social worker, or social pedagogue. Additionally, you need to have worked in a leadership, supervisory, or similar role previously. You have good knowledge of social documentation, evidence-based methods, and AAC. Previous experience working with children is a merit. A driver's license is required for this position. The Infectious Diseases and Pulmonology Unit at Visby Hospital has 21 inpatient beds and an outpatient clinic. The unit's mission encompasses infectious medicine, travel medicine and vaccination, pulmonology, and allergology.
