Your Assignment As a Mother Tongue Teacher, you will teach primary and secondary school students with Swahili as their mother tongue. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction based on the curriculum. You use digital tools and adapt instruction according to students' needs, interests, and circumstances. You follow up, assess, grade, and document students' development of knowledge. Additionally, you are responsible for attendance reporting, communication with guardians, and when needed, study guidance for newly arrived students. As a teacher at the Mother Tongue Unit in Nacka, you are itinerant and work at multiple schools throughout the municipality. You manage and are responsible for your own time and work tasks. Remote or distance instruction is not applicable. Your Experience For this position, you must have: teacher certification with subject qualification as a Swahili Mother Tongue Teacher Swahili as your mother tongue good knowledge and understanding of the curriculum's value base and knowledge perspective good digital competence and experience using digital pedagogical tools good ability to express yourself in Swedish in both speech and writing It is an advantage if you also have: knowledge of the course plan in the mother tongue subject experience with and knowledge of pedagogical planning, assessment, and grading in the mother tongue subject experience teaching students of different ages and knowledge levels in the mother tongue subject and the ability to adapt instruction accordingly Is This You? You are clear and communicative, both in writing and verbally. You have the ability to independently plan and manage your time and work tasks. Since instruction takes place outside students' regular schedules and at different schools throughout the municipality, it is important that you are flexible.
