About the Role of Support Assistant As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to people with functional variations, with the goal of promoting their independence and well-being in everyday life. We provide care for four children with multiple disabilities. The children have extensive needs for educational support and personal care. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Resource Unit is a new department within health and medical care at Landskrona Omsorg and needs an occupational therapist at 100% who is interested in working within LSS (the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities). We are looking for someone who wants to make an impact, enjoys challenges, and sees opportunities in the assignment. The team consists of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and nurses who collaborate with patients, patient-close staff, educational developers, unit managers, and other stakeholders to achieve the intentions of LSS. We provide operational support at various levels. At the individual level, we work to increase participation and self-determination. We adapt and clarify daily life for the individual. At the unit level, we work with coaching on meeting and treatment issues, support and adaptation in activities, and at a more overarching level, we develop competence enhancement in the LSS area for staff groups. As an occupational therapist, you are part of the educational support in methods and activities at all levels. The municipal health and medical care assignment is directed at people over 20 years of age with disabilities who have LSS services. The area covers both special and regular housing as well as day-time activities. Your work includes coaching for staff, relatives, and users, assessment/fitting and prescription of assistive devices. You also conduct ADL and functional assessments and write certificates for, for example, housing adaptations. We have close collaboration with Medelpunkten, a well-functioning assistive device center with high expertise in assistive device provision. As a prescriber, you will have access to expert support, regular training, technical advice, and a broad range of assistive devices. This creates the best conditions for individually adapted and high-quality services for our patients. Your personal qualities are very important for this position, and we are looking for someone with strong ability to collaborate and communicate and who promotes a good work environment. To succeed in the role, you have good empathetic ability and can work both independently and in a team. You also have a rehabilitative/habilitative perspective and the ability to motivate and inspire those around you. You can prioritize and plan while also being able to quickly adapt to the needs of the day. In nearby operations, we have trained service dogs that we have the opportunity to collaborate with to promote meaningful activities for our patients. QUALIFICATIONS Requirements: Licensed Occupational Therapist B-category driver's license Good computer skills and the ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Merits: Knowledge of documentation in Lifecare HSL and Mina planer. Experience and expertise in the LSS area. Experience with, for example, AAC, low-arousal approaches, clarifying pedagogy.
