JOB DUTIES
Do you want to work closely with people and contribute to a meaningful everyday life for people within LSS? Do you want to work near customers with development of pedagogical work together with colleagues?
As a support pedagogue, you work practically together with support assistants and colleagues in daily work and contribute with an in-depth pedagogical approach. You are an important resource in creating structure, participation, and influence in customers' everyday lives and become part of the work team.
The work is based on the individual's implementation plan, where support needs and individual goals form the basis for the services. You will, among other things:
• Develop, document, and follow up implementation plans
• Ensure that work is conducted with quality and continuity
• Support colleagues in matters concerning the assignment and current legislation
• Develop and implement pedagogical methods, tools, and adaptations
• Convert theoretical knowledge to practical action and inspire colleagues to do the same
• Collaborate with relatives, guardians, and other stakeholders according to customers' needs
With us, you get a meaningful assignment where you combine work close to customers with development of pedagogical work in the organization. You become an important part in strengthening the quality of support and contributing to an organization that is based on the customer's needs, self-determination, and integrity.
The position as pedagogical coordinator is time-limited and applies for 1 year with the possibility of extension by agreement and follow-up. Based on agreement with the manager, a certain percentage of work time is allocated for coordinating and development work tasks. Initially, this will take up a large percentage of the position and then be reduced to approximately 20%. The assignment includes, among other things:
• Hold together and develop work with pedagogical methods and approaches in the organization.
• Be a support for the work team and unit manager in coordinating follow-up of services, such as implementation plans, action plans, early signs, behavior registrations, or other things the organization has a need for.
• Support unit manager in work with deviations, among other things by analyzing causes, proposing pedagogical measures, following up on implemented measures.
• Participate in coordination meetings together with the unit manager and the unit for pedagogical development.
• Hold together planning, structure, and pedagogical setup in the start-up phase.
• Pay attention to needs for skills development or repetition within specific pedagogical areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in the target group and who is motivated by creating conditions for independence and participation. You have a pedagogical approach and the ability to convert knowledge into practice. You are attentive, flexible, and solution-focused, while being responsible and able to work both independently and according to common strategies. You have a reflective working method and contribute to development in the organization. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
We see that you have:
• Support pedagogue education of at least 200 YH points or other relevant post-secondary education (at least 200 YH points or 60 higher education credits)
• Experience working within LSS
• Knowledge of and experience with low-arousal approach
• Knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC)
You may also have:
• Knowledge and experience of challenging behavior
