Support Assistants at BmSS Morängatan

Job Responsibilities We're taking a fresh approach at Morängatan – do you want to be part of our revival and contribute to a positive and developing everyday life for our residents? We're looking for two support assistants who want to work in an operation where we jointly develop work methods, approaches, and practices to provide the best possible support for the people who live with us. Morängatan is a supported housing facility for adults with neuropsychiatric diagnoses and physical disabilities. Ten residents live here, each with individual needs, interests, and circumstances. By working based on implementation plans, you ensure that each resident's needs are in focus and that support is provided in a respectful and professional manner. In your work, you motivate residents in their daily lives. This can involve encouraging social activities, supporting contacts outside the home, or creating conditions for enriching leisure time based on the resident's interests. You also provide support with personal hygiene, laundry, cleaning, and cooking. You collaborate with guardians, social workers, healthcare professionals, and family members, and you're part of a team where respect, method development, and a low-arousal approach are a natural part of everyday work. The role also includes social documentation, medication management, and insulin administration according to delegation. The position can sometimes involve working alone, which makes it important that you feel secure with the target group and confident in your professional approach. The residence provides support around the clock, and work hours are scheduled for day, evening, and every other weekend. We use Time Care Planning for activity-adapted schedules. With us, you get varied and meaningful work where you make a real difference – every day. Qualifications We're looking for someone with a diploma from the Healthcare and Care Program, support assistant training, or Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social or educational work. The education requirement is also met if you have post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational credits, 120 higher education credits, or a combination equivalent to at least four full-time semesters of study. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. Communication is an important part of the work, which requires you to have a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you don't meet the qualification requirements, you may be offered a language test through test provider Educateit. You have documented experience working within LSS (Swedish Disability Services Act) and social documentation, experience working with people who have autism, intellectual and physical disabilities, and experience working with challenging behavior. It's meritorious to have knowledge and experience of LAB (low-arousal approach) and AAC (alternative and augmentative communication). You remain calm and secure in pressured and difficult situations. You can balance the demands placed on you and can make well-founded decisions despite time pressure. You work well with others by listening and showing respect. You're clear in your professional role and act professionally in situations where others question you or make unreasonable demands. You're open to understanding other people's needs, feelings, and opinions. You're receptive to what others say and show respect, consideration, and care in your approach. We warmly welcome your application! Other Information Selection and interviews will begin during the application period. Support Assistant at Kastanjetten – Be Part of It from the Start!

New facilities. New energy. New colleagues. And the chance to actually make an impact. Kastanjetten has reopened after extensive renovations. Now we're building on the operations and shaping the team that will take Kastanjetten forward. You won't be arriving when everything is already finished. You get to help create it. Here, a completely ordinary workday can become quite unusual Kastanjetten is a short-term residence for children and young adults up to 21 years old with, among other things, autism and intellectual disabilities. Here, laughter, activities, and outings blend with everyday routines, care, and situations that require both patience and creativity. Sometimes it's full speed. Sometimes you're the one who needs to slow things down. And quite often, the day doesn't go quite as you expected when you arrived at work. That's kind of the point. You're close to the children and young adults and provide support based on their specific needs. This can involve communication, activities and structure, but also personal care, meals, medication, tube feeding, and support with epilepsy. Some need a lot of help. Others manage a lot on their own. No two are alike. We think you'll like this job if… …you enjoy when things happen and thrive with varied pace. …you can be yourself and bring others along with you. …you'd rather find a solution than get stuck on something not going as planned. …you see what needs to be done and take initiative. …you can have fun at work while also understanding when a situation requires full focus. And maybe most importantly: You're interested in the person behind the behavior. You don't need to come to us knowing everything. What's important is that you want to learn, develop, and contribute. You have relevant education in, for example, care and support, pedagogy, or disability services, or alternatively other education that we consider equivalent. Previous experience with LSS, autism, intellectual disabilities, AAC, visual supports, or challenging behavior is a plus. You need to have good Swedish in speech and writing and be able to document your work. This is not an 8–5 job The children and young adults come to us when they're off from school. That's why we work when they need us. This means varying working hours with day, evening, weekend, and on-call shifts. In return, you get a job where the days look different and where you rarely have to wonder if what you do matters. You're coming in as we're building We've moved back to our newly renovated facilities and right now you have an opportunity that won't be available forever. Work methods will be developed. A team will grow. Activities will be created. Ideas will be tested. If you start now, you get to help shape things. We want to create a place where children and young adults look forward to returning, where families feel secure, and where we who work here enjoy our jobs and are proud of what we do. And yes, the practical matters too With us you get introduction and training when you start, skills development through Nytida's training organization Lära, wellness allowance, shoe allowance, benefits portal, and collective bargaining agreement. There's also opportunity to develop further within Nytida. Kastanjetten is centrally located in Täby with good transport links and Roslags Näsby station nearby. It's easy to reach us even without a car. Employment: Permanent with six months probation Working hours: Day, evening, weekend, and on-call shifts Salary: Individual salary setting Contact persons: Group Leader Moa Nilsson - [email protected] Operations Manager Josephine Anemar Bojfors - [email protected] Will you be part of this? You don't need to write the world's most perfect application. Tell us who you are, why you think Kastanjetten would suit you, and what you'd like to contribute. We'll take it from there when we meet. We're conducting interviews on an ongoing basis and look forward to meeting our new colleagues.
