Temporary Caregiver/Support Worker at Sagahemmet

Sagahemmet is operated by The Salvation Army and provides support and housing for adults with harmful substance use and addiction, often in combination with mental health issues and other social challenges. Sagahemmet is a supportive housing facility where work focuses on daily living support, structure, motivation, and activities of daily living (ADL). We are seeking temporary caregivers who can step in when regular staff are absent, sometimes with short notice. We therefore seek someone who is flexible, responsible, and has good availability. 2 position(s). WORK TASKS As a support worker, you provide practical and psychosocial support based on the residents' individual needs. Your work includes: • providing support and motivation in daily life • contributing to safety and structure • handling situations that can sometimes be challenging • documenting according to organizational procedures • collaborating with colleagues and other stakeholders. The employment is temporary, on-call work, and working hours may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends. QUALIFICATIONS Experience working with people with harmful substance use and addiction is required. However, you do not need to be formally trained. Relevant education or ongoing studies in areas such as social work, care, or treatment are advantageous. We seek someone who is confident, clear, and respectful in your interactions. You need to be able to take responsibility, work independently, and collaborate with others. Since you will work as a temporary caregiver, we place great emphasis on flexibility and the ability to work with short notice.
