Job Responsibilities Working at our residential facilities for children and short-term homes means stepping into an environment where every child is unique and where your approach makes a real difference. We're looking for someone who wants to contribute to safe, meaningful, and developmental days for children and young people with various support needs, whether you're studying, recently completed your education, or want to try a new field. Every day where each child is met according to their circumstances With us, you'll meet children and young people with varying needs. This may involve support with communication, learning, or social interaction, but also more comprehensive care such as tube feeding, respiratory support, or assistance with multiple disabilities. In some facilities, you'll also work with children who may have challenging behaviors. Regardless of target group, we always base our approach on the individual's way of expressing themselves, communicating, and being in the world. Your role as a part-time substitute You support everything from personal care to participating in and conducting activities, providing educational support, and being a helping hand in the children's and young people's daily lives. You help children succeed in their small and big steps, and document development and important events. We work with methods such as low-arousal behavior management (LAB) and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) to create security, participation, and predictability. Flexible work shifts As a part-time substitute, you can work day, evening, weekend, awake nights, or sleeping on-call shifts. You enter your own availability in our booking system Time Care Pool and are offered work shifts based on the facility's needs. This job suits you if you want to combine work with studies, other activities, or if you're looking for flexible extra work. Qualifications To work as a substitute within support services, you need to be at least 18 years old, in accordance with regulations on work environment for minors 14§ and appendix 2 1B (AFS 2023:2). If you do not meet the requirement of a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered a language test via EducateIt. It is advantageous if you have completed or ongoing education in the field, for example as a support assistant, nursing assistant, or an ongoing or completed academic education in healthcare, behavioral science, or educational studies. experience/knowledge of low-arousal behavior management (LAB), alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), challenging behaviors, and self-injurious behaviors. previously worked with medical technical aids such as tracheostomy, tube feeding, PEG, or breathing machines, and have experience with comprehensive care. previous experience working in the support services field or in care and health services—this is advantageous but not required. We're looking for someone who puts the individual in focus and treats people with respect, good conduct, and commitment. You take responsibility for your tasks and collaborate well with others.
