Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Do you want to help build one of Sweden's most well-organized construction companies? At QICON, we believe that a truly great construction company is built not through more projects, but through better structure, smarter processes, and people who have the right conditions to succeed. That's why we're now looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO). A person who won't build bathrooms. Won't sell projects. Won't lead production. But will develop the company behind the projects. This is a key role in our management team with broad responsibility for how QICON as a company functions and develops. You will work closely with the CEO and drive the development of the company's structure, working methods, business systems, organization, and shared support functions. You will not be responsible for operational project production. Your mission is to build the company that makes the projects possible. Our long-term ambition is to build one of Sweden's most well-organized construction companies. A company with the governance, transparency, and professionalism required for a future public listing. - When our project managers have better conditions to lead projects... - When our craftspeople can focus on their profession... - When our systems become smarter... - When our processes become simpler... - When the company grows without becoming more complicated... ...then you've succeeded. Your Mission You are responsible for developing the company's internal operations and creating conditions for continued growth. The role encompasses four main areas: · Business development and governance · Business systems and digitalization · Shared resources and operational support · Organization and employees This includes developing our management system, further developing our business system QISY, driving change initiatives, and continuously improving how the company functions – from our working methods and employee processes to our shared support functions. What ties everything you're responsible for together is creating the best possible conditions for our project managers, craftspeople, and other employees to succeed. You will also be the direct manager of our materials manager. Your task is to create structure, develop operations, and ensure that the company's shared support functions work efficiently. Who will thrive with us? You enjoy creating order where others see administration. You enjoy understanding how different parts of an operation connect and are motivated by building systems that make the organization better over time. You're not satisfied with solving today's problems. You want to understand why they arise and build structures that prevent them from happening again. You find it easy to switch between strategy and practice and enjoy turning ideas into functioning working methods. You're experienced in leading change and are motivated by creating conditions for others to succeed. We believe you have · An academic degree from a college or university, for example in business administration, industrial economics, law, management, or another relevant field. · Experience developing operations, processes, or organizations and driving change initiatives. · Experience with personnel responsibility or experience with employer responsibility. · The ability to create structure and turn ideas into functioning working methods. · A strong interest in digitalization and how technology can develop companies. · Excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish and good English proficiency. · A valid driver's license (category B). We invest long-term in digitalization, business development, management systems, and modern leadership. We develop our own business system, QISY, and continuously work to improve how the company functions. With us, you won't be a support function on the sidelines of operations. You'll be a central part of the management team with significant authority to influence how the company develops for many years to come. If you're drawn to building a company – not just working in one – we think you'll thrive with us. We Offer · A key role in the management team. · Opportunity to shape a completely new management position. · Short decision-making paths and significant personal mandate. · Competitive employment terms. · Occupational pension, wellness allowance, and other employee benefits. · The opportunity to help build one of Sweden's most well-organized construction companies. Recruitment Process We believe that a recruitment process should reflect how we work. If your application interests us, the next step will be a digital assessment. The assessment consists of realistic situations drawn from our own operations. The purpose is not to find right or wrong answers, but to understand how you analyze, prioritize, lead change, and solve problems. Candidates who advance will then meet with us for interviews and reference checks before a final decision is made. We believe that provides a better decision-making foundation – for both you and us. Application Submit your CV along with a few lines about why you're applying for this position. We welcome your application by August 31, 2027 at the latest.
