Schedule and Cost Coordinator

Schedule and Cost Coordinator at TrafikverketAbout the Company Trafikverket is the client for a comprehensive infrastructure project linked to the Trollhätte Canal, which serves as the waterway between the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Vänern. The 44-meter elevation difference is managed by locks in Lilla Edet, Trollhättan, and Vänersborg. The existing lock structures date from the early 1900s and have reached the end of their service life. Trafikverket will therefore replace the existing locks with new ones at all three locations. The current assignment focuses on a new lock structure in Trollhättan and is carried out in collaboration with the Swedish Maritime Authority. About the Role Trafikverket is seeking a resource consultant as a schedule and cost coordinator for the Trollhätte Canal Locks Program. You will contribute knowledge and expertise in schedule and cost coordination and be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules and cost estimates. The focus of the assignment is to be part of the client organization for the E21 New Lock and Waterway contract, which includes work on the new lock structure in Trollhättan. The role involves close daily collaboration with both the client organization and the contractor. The contract comprises a contract with contractor participation (TEM) in two phases, where Phase 1 is based on ABK 09 and Phase 2 constitutes a possible full-service contract with a target price according to ABT 06. In parallel with Phase 1, an opening bridge is also being constructed as preliminary work according to AB 04. You will actively work on both contracts. You are expected to work independently in executing the assignment and be service-oriented in collaboration with the client organization and contractor. The assignment also includes knowledge transfer to Trafikverket employees. Role and Responsibilities As a schedule and cost coordinator, you will, among other tasks: Develop the client's project schedules and cost estimates for the contract and keep them current Participate in the development of the contractor's schedules and cost estimates Identify critical procurements and develop strategies for these together with the contractor Analyze and quality assure suppliers' schedules and cost estimates Analyze and quality assure suppliers' documentation for target prices Work with monitoring and forecasting based on the contract's cost estimates, including index management Support work with managing notifications and changes Independently and in collaboration with the client, drive work on monitoring the contractor's ongoing invoicing When needed, assist the Road and Water Department within the Large Projects division within the scope of the assignment's utilization rate Required Competencies We expect you to meet all of the following mandatory requirements, which must be clearly evident in your CV and other requested documentation: 1 - Swedish category B driver's license. 2 - Degree from a technical university or a combination of education and work experience that Trafikverket deems equivalent. 3 - At least five years of experience from construction companies with infrastructure contracts in a supervisory position. The project size must have been at least 100 MSEK and the employment rate at least 50%. 4 - At least five years of experience from construction companies with an employment rate of at least 80%, where more than half of the working time has consisted of bid estimation, development, analysis and maintenance of production estimates, cost estimation of additional work, procurement work, and financial monitoring of infrastructure work in infrastructure projects with a contract value exceeding 200 MSEK. 5 - Experience with planning work performed on a contract with a contract value exceeding 200 MSEK. The planning work must have been performed using scheduling software and included the development of a schedule with critical path, broken down into multiple levels. The experience may relate to the development and ongoing analysis of schedules within, for example, production, assembly, procurement, logistics, or inspections. Which software or programs were used must be described separately. 6 - Good knowledge of AMA Construction and contract law, AB/ABT. Value-Added Requirements 1 - It is advantageous to have experience from at least one assignment where a large collaborative contract within infrastructure, with a contract value exceeding 250 MSEK and compensation on a time-and-materials basis, was part of the assignment's execution. You must have held a leading position on either the contractor's or client's side with an employment rate of at least 50%. The experience is verified through a reference project. 2 - It is a value-add that you are analytical, independent, and service-oriented. You are expected to take responsibility for your tasks, structure your own approach, drive processes forward, solve problems with consideration to long-term strategies, and be able to see logic and connections in complex information or environments. You should also have interest, willingness, and ability to help others and deliver solutions. This will be assessed through an interview. Assignment Information Assignment Start: The assignment can begin on October 5, 2026, provided the contract has been executed, and must begin no later than November 2, 2026. Assignment Period: From assignment start through December 31, 2028. Extension Option: Possibility of extension for an additional 3 + 3 + 1 + 1 years. Scope: 100% of annual working hours for a resource consultant, where annual working hours equals 1,700 hours. Work Location: Gothenburg during 2026 and the first half of 2027. From July 1, 2027 onwards, the base location moves to the site office in Trollhättan. Physical Presence: Five days per week at Trafikverket's office in Gothenburg and thereafter in Trollhättan. This includes agreements with the Sámi School Board regarding Sámi-integrated instruction in primary school. We currently have nine native language teachers in Sámi languages and one duajjáre who also teaches South Sámi as a native language. These form a work team where experience sharing and professional development take place. If your teaching experience is limited, you will receive support from experienced colleagues and our lead teacher. Classes are held Tuesday through Thursday and instruction takes place at Finnbackskolan, Norrängsskolan, and Forsdalaskolan. Our ambition to develop Sámi integration is high, and therefore we are seeking someone who wants to share this ambition with us. As a duajjáre, you conduct instruction together with the regular craft teacher. This means the regular craft teacher is responsible for grading and the structure of instruction. The position is 50% but can be combined with native language instruction in South or Ume Sámi up to 100%. Native language instruction can be conducted either in-person or as distance learning. We are seeking someone with strong knowledge of Sámi culture and who masters both soft and hard crafts. Job Description As a correctional officer, you will be part of a team where you have daily contact with clients. Working in a detention center means focusing on care and security, and it is a job with clear procedures. Some people are held in detention for long periods and only meet their lawyer and those who work at the detention center. This places special demands on you as a correctional officer. Working as a correctional officer means you can make a difference for other people and contribute to a better society.
