Extended description
We are building a new national Water & Wastewater/Process unit – would you like to lead it?
We are now establishing a new national unit within Water & Wastewater/Process with the mission to strengthen our technical expertise and competitiveness in complex facility projects.
This means that as you step into this role, you will help shape the organization, working methods, and how we develop this area going forward.
About the Role
As Head of Water & Wastewater/Process, you will have national responsibility for building, leading, and developing our expertise in this area. You will lead a specialist team that works closely with our projects, from bidding through production, commissioning, and warranty.
You will play a central role in early project stages where you contribute to strategic decisions, assessment of technical solutions, and commercial risks. At the same time, you will lead the work of developing working methods, guidelines, and standards within Water & Wastewater/Process.
The role also makes you a natural point of contact in dialogue with clients, consultants, and suppliers, where your technical credibility and ability to build trust become decisive.
Since the role is national, work location can be discussed – we have offices throughout Sweden, but we would like you to be based in Malmö, Gothenburg, or Stockholm. The position also involves high mobility, with regular travel to projects, colleagues, and external partners around the country. Therefore, you need to be comfortable in a role where you are flexible, mobile, and present where the business needs you.
What Makes This Role Interesting
You will:
Build a specialist function from the ground up
Set direction and influence technical choices in major projects
Work closely with the business and contribute to our competitiveness
Lead and develop a specialist team in an area where demand for specialist expertise is growing
Who We Believe You Are
You have a post-secondary education in water & wastewater, chemical engineering, or environmental science, and have worked for at least 10–15 years with water and/or wastewater treatment in some form.
You have a deep understanding of how technology, business, and risk interconnect in complex projects, always with the customer at the center. This means you are confident in evaluating and making decisions about technical solutions, while also having good insight into commercial risks, process guarantees, and the interplay between process, construction, and operations.
It is desirable to have the ability to see the bigger picture and have experience from all parts of a construction project and/or experience from operations and facility management.
Leadership is an important part of the role and something you need to be driven by. We also believe you are driven by creating direction, prioritizing correctly, and getting specialists to perform together. You have confidence in technical discussions and contribute with a constructive and solution-oriented approach when meeting with both clients and suppliers. Collaboration skills and lack of ego are important qualities that we value highly.
For questions about the position, you are welcome to contact recruiting manager Jenny Kant via email: [email protected] or HR partner Linnéa Lundin via email: [email protected]. Please note that we are recruiting during the vacation period, which means response times may be slightly longer, but we handle applications and questions on an ongoing basis.
We may conduct background checks on our final candidates as part of our recruitment process.
In this recruitment, we have made an active choice regarding advertising and recruitment support and politely but firmly decline contact from recruitment or advertising agencies.
