Responsibilities Oxygenated organic radicals are important drivers of chemistry in many systems, such as metabolism in living organisms, polymerization, combustion systems, and the natural environment (Earth's atmosphere). However, few techniques can detect them today. We are seeking a motivated researcher to develop and apply a mass spectrometric technique (proton transfer mass spectrometry, PTr-MS) for detection of individual oxygenated organic radicals in air, within the prestigious European Research Council (ERC) Advanced project EPHEMERAL. The work will encompass characterization and optimization of a state-of-the-art Time-of-flight mass spectrometer (PTr-MS) and use of other instruments to detect these radicals in laboratory and in air. This position will be within the Nozière group at the Department of Chemistry at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. As a policy advisor, you will, for example: Monitor political initiatives and legislative processes Develop decision-making materials and policy support that strengthens the Church's voice in societal debate Contribute with analysis and advice within the Church's prioritized policy areas, such as human rights, democratic values, and sustainability Cooperate with external parties, such as ecumenical and other civil society actors. Who We Are Looking For We are seeking someone with a relevant academic degree in, for example, social sciences, law, humanities, or religious studies. You have experience in policy and advocacy work, including opinion formation, public affairs, and strategic communication, as well as a good understanding of how advocacy is conducted with the right tools and timing. You have experience from civil society and/or a politically governed organization and good insight into political and legislative processes. Experience from work at the Government Offices or a government agency as well as familiarity with the Church of Sweden's organization and operations is a merit.
