Responsibilities
Oxygenated organic radicals are important drivers of chemistry in many systems, such as metabolism in living organisms, polymerization, combustion systems, and the natural environment (Earth's atmosphere). However, few techniques can detect them today, particularly in complex systems. We are seeking a motivated candidate to develop and apply global detection techniques for oxygenated radicals in ambient air and other complex systems. The work will involve both operation and troubleshooting of existing techniques, such as chemical amplification, and development and characterization of entirely new techniques, to be used both in laboratories and in ambient air. This position will be within the Nozière group at the Department of Chemistry at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
