Work Leader

Your assignment as work leader The position is based at our Värmdö establishment and involves varied and independent work with substantial personal responsibility. Our main operations consist of maintaining and operating roads for the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket), but we also perform work for municipalities, road associations, condominium associations, and other external customers. The work encompasses both planned and urgent measures such as winter road maintenance, drainage, gravel road maintenance, paving, green space management, and traffic arrangements. The goal is for the work leader to independently plan, lead, follow up on, and complete work with focus on safety, quality, economy, and customer satisfaction. The position also includes on-call duties and standby service, primarily related to winter road maintenance and emergency situations. Main responsibilities: • Supervision of your own staff and subcontractors • Planning and coordination of daily production • Development and follow-up of work preparations • Financial follow-up, invoicing, and documentation management • Daily follow-up, documentation, and reporting • Ensure that work is performed in accordance with applicable regulations, contracts, and occupational health and safety requirements • Interpret and apply contracts, technical requirements, and orders • Customer contact and handling of minor quotes and additional work Who are you? We are seeking a structured, responsible, and solution-oriented person who is clear in communication and enjoys working closely with both staff, customers, and subcontractors. The person needs to be able to prioritize, make decisions, and maintain control even when workload is high. To succeed in the work leader role, you need: • Class B driver's license • Good Swedish in speech and writing • Good computer skills and ability to work in digital systems • Ability to plan, structure, and follow up on multiple projects in parallel • Ability to develop and ensure work preparations prior to work execution • Ability to participate in on-call and standby service organization Meritorious: • Experience in work leadership within construction, road operations, or contracting • Experience with the Swedish Transport Administration's contracts or other public clients • Experience in financial follow-up, invoicing, and quote work • Knowledge of AMA, AB/ABT, APV, and systematic occupational health and safety work • Experience with winter road maintenance and emergency operations • Vocational, university, or other relevant education in construction and civil engineering • Class C driver's license and YKB certification Part of something larger Svevia is today Sweden's largest operations contractor.
