Nurse/Ophthalmic Nurse
The eye care department provides basic and, to some extent, highly specialized eye care for Gotland's approximately 60,000 residents. Operations are conducted in close collaboration with other surgical and medical specialties. Continuous efforts are made to further develop the department and thereby improve care for Gotland's population. We have approximately 13,000-14,000 visits per year where we provide outpatient services in general ophthalmology, cataract surgery, and eyelid surgery, as well as a medical retina clinic with injection services. The department has primary on-call responsibility during daytime hours and standby on-call duty part of weekends. Patients requiring highly specialized care are primarily referred to the eye clinics at St Erik's Eye Hospital or the Academic Hospital in Uppsala. We have regularly returning consultant physicians with specialized knowledge in pediatric ophthalmology, corneal diseases, cataract surgery, and plastic surgery, including surgery for tumors, eyelids, tear ducts, and strabismus. We have approximately 3-4 specialists per week and 1-2 resident physicians. Our staff includes roles such as ophthalmic nurse, nurse, nursing assistant, optician, and orthoptist. The clinic is well-equipped with, among other things, multispot laser, YAG laser, Humphrey perimetry, and OCT. As a nurse, you will gain both broad and deep expertise within your area of competence, as Visby Hospital, the island's only acute hospital, handles all eye patients on the island. Your Responsibilities The eye care department at Visby Hospital is a small and well-functioning workplace. You will have varying tasks with great opportunities to develop your personal abilities. We also work very much in teams when you assist with, for example, cataract surgeries, POL surgeries, injections, and when you perform preliminary examinations before doctor visits. About Us Mollösunds Wärdshus is a historic inn located at the edge of Orust, in the heart of the old fishing village of Mollösund. The kitchen is at the heart of everything we do, and we create honest, seasonal cuisine with the sea and Bohuslän as our larder. About the Role We are looking for a head chef who wants to lead and shape our kitchen – take responsibility for the menu, quality, and daily operations, and be the hub of a small, cohesive team. With us, there's a fast pace, lots happening, and most importantly, a great group of people who enjoy working together. Employment Seasonal position with immediate start – full speed during summer, and during fall more focused on weekends, events, and conferences. Full-time or part-time by agreement, salary by agreement. Ideally, you live on Orust and can step in as head cook when needed – both during summer's pace and at fall events. Responsibilities Plan and develop menus based on season and ingredients Take responsibility for cooking and quality in all aspects Lead, schedule, and guide the kitchen team Handle purchasing, budgeting, and cost control Ensure food safety and self-monitoring (HACCP) Qualifications Experience as a chef, preferably in a leadership role Ability to lead a team and maintain composure in high-pressure situations Sense for ingredients, quality, and guest experience Good knowledge of Swedish or English Merits Experience with à la carte and groups/events Experience with menu and cost responsibility Live on or near Orust
