The Employment and Adult Education Administration works to enable more Botkyrka residents to achieve financial independence through employment, studies, or other paths to self-sufficiency. The Administration is responsible for the municipality's employment initiatives, day activities, adult vocational education (komvux), vocational college programs, and career guidance. At the turn of the year, upper secondary school will become part of the Administration, which strengthens the connection between education, the labor market, and workforce development. The Administration has approximately 400 employees and will grow to nearly 800 after the turn of the year. Through collaboration with businesses, educational providers, and other actors, we develop activities that meet both individual and labor market needs. The Position and Responsibilities We are seeking a Vocational College Director who wants to lead and further develop Xenter Vocational College. You hold overall responsibility for Xenter Vocational College, which is part of Campus Botkyrka. The operation offers vocational college programs in several industries where the need for competence is high. Programs are developed in close collaboration with the business community to meet current and future labor market needs. In your leadership, you create clarity around goals, responsibilities, and priorities. You make well-founded decisions, communicate them clearly, and create conditions for collaboration, accountability, and development. Your primary responsibilities: Manage personnel, work environment, and employee development Manage the operation's budget, results, and financial reporting Plan, monitor, and analyze the operation and ensure systematic quality work Drive digital development and ensure efficient use of IT, technology, and system support Develop collaboration with companies, industry organizations, and other actors in the business community Represent Xenter in collaborative bodies, working groups, committees, trade shows, and other relevant forums Manage business-related matters including marketing and direct procurement. You are part of Campus Botkyrka's management team and contribute to the development of the entire operational area. The assignment encompasses both long-term business development and operational leadership with many contact points. You have several years of management experience with personnel, work environment, and budget responsibility, as well as experience in change management. Other requirements: Experience establishing and developing collaborations with companies, industry organizations, and other external actors. Experience representing an operation in internal and external forums and presenting information in Swedish to different target audiences. Experience with business planning, monitoring, and analysis at an overall level. Experience with budget and forecasting work and financial reporting. Experience with procurement or direct procurement. Experience being part of and contributing to a management team. We consider it an asset if you have: Experience as a rector, school principal, or vocational college director. Experience in vocational college, other educational activities, or leading pedagogical processes. Experience working in a politically governed organization. Experience leading an operation that operates under competitive conditions. The assignment requires stable leadership where you combine clarity and decisiveness with an inclusive approach. You create understanding of the operation's goals, make well-founded decisions, and build good relationships through factual and respectful treatment. You involve employees in matters that affect their work, leverage their knowledge, and provide clear feedback. In contact with companies, industry organizations, and other collaborative partners, you are responsive to different needs and represent Xenter in a clear and professional manner. You move between operational issues and long-term development, prioritize based on the operation's goals, and monitor economics, results, and quality. You follow up on results, quality, and economics and adjust direction as needed.
