Description of the Operation The Waste Department is responsible for the collection and treatment of waste under municipal responsibility. The department is responsible for service development, behavioral initiatives to prevent waste, developing waste plans and regulations, managing the city's closed landfills, and operating the Reuse Center. The Procurement and Services Unit is responsible for procurement, assignment, and monitoring of collection and treatment contractors for food and residual waste, bulky waste, hazardous waste, packaging, return paper, and sludge. Now we are taking the next step with Sweden's first OFP wheel inspection robot that records measurements for all train types, in a completely new workshop. This is a unique opportunity to help build an entirely new technology and develop cutting-edge maintenance methods. Your upcoming role As an OFP Coordinator, you are responsible for non-destructive testing (NDT) within traffic-adjacent maintenance, with a focus on inspections of wheels and axles. Through your work, you create optimal conditions for efficient maintenance production and help ensure that our trains are safe. We are facing an exciting development with Sweden's first OFP wheel inspection robot, which uses ultrasound to inspect wheels and measure wheel condition. You will be part of building state-of-the-art maintenance, where inspection measurements are recorded and analyzed for maximum precision. In this role, you ensure that testing procedures are always current and up-to-date. You drive and develop OFP operations together with other leaders within Traffic-Adjacent Maintenance, while also providing close support to our workshop personnel. The work includes setting up inspections of axles and wheels for all of SJ's train types, including our new Delta and Zeta high-speed and regional trains.
