JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for you who are passionate about elderly care's mission, believe in people's strength, and want to make a real difference both for our seniors and for the employees who create safety and quality of life every day. As department director, you have overall responsibility for elderly care operations and lead the organization through subordinate unit managers. You are responsible for ensuring that operations are conducted in accordance with legislation, political goals, and financial frameworks, while driving long-term development of the operational area. • Operations development and quality work • Finance and resource management • Competence supply and leadership development • Work environment and sustainable working life • Digitalization and welfare technology • Transition to future elderly care • You collaborate with political leadership, labor organizations, external stakeholders, and other operations within the municipality. • You participate in steering groups and networks locally and regionally and are an active part of the administration's joint development work. As department director, you are part of the administration's management team and report to the department head. You understand that sustainable operations development is built on strong relationships, clear goals, and present leadership. • University degree in an area that the employer deems relevant for the assignment • Several years of management experience with responsibility for operations, personnel, work environment, and finance • Experience leading change, development, and transition work • Experience with strategic management work • Experience in management work within healthcare and care, preferably elderly care Merits • Experience from politically governed organizations • Experience managing through other managers • Knowledge of labor law, work environment, and labor collaboration • Experience with quality management, operations monitoring, and key metrics work • Experience with digitalization and implementation of welfare technology solutions Employment form: Permanent employment.
