Workplace and Work Tasks Within the Intake Team, there is 1 team leader and 3 intake secretaries and 2 case officers who follow up on approved services within our open care. In the 2 positions, some preliminary assessments and investigations may occur. Within the Investigation Team, there is 1 team leader and 5 investigators. Within the Foster Care Team, there is 1 team leader, 7 child welfare workers, 6 foster care secretaries, of which 2 work 50% each as placement coordinators. The child welfare worker position means you become the child's case manager with a focus on the child's best interests, ensuring that children and parents are involved in care. You conduct investigations, follow up on the child's placement, schooling, and services to ensure the child's safety, health, and development with the goal of reunification. You review and reconsider care, conduct access assessments, and conduct custody transfer investigations when relevant. We have support from 3 administrators who assist with various administrative work based on the unit's needs. Together in your team, you will have the opportunity to develop in your role and assignment. For new employees, we offer a well-structured introduction. There is close leadership from the team leader and unit manager. The team leader leads and distributes daily work and is readily available for support and guidance. The unit manager also works closely in the operations. We are located at Bergmästaren in Sala together with large parts of Individual and Family Care Services (IFO) and in adjacent corridors. The Child and Youth Unit's open care is just a stone's throw away. Open care is well-developed as it has been and is a prioritized area for our politicians who see the benefits of being able to meet individuals' needs with home-based solutions as much as possible. Qualifications Formal Competence: Degree in Social Work Class B Driver's License Meritorious: Experience working in Social Services and authority operations with children and young people Experience with children and young people in municipal care Knowledge of investigations, case management, and documentation with relevant legislation Knowledge of BBIC, Signs of Safety, network-oriented working methods, and techniques for child conversations. You communicate and collaborate easily with both internal and external stakeholders. Good communication skills in speech and writing. You are mature, flexible, structured, and reflective. You plan, organize, and carry out your tasks independently. We place great emphasis on your personal suitability.
