We are now looking for a Financial Controller who wants to take the next step in their career and help develop the finance department together with our Director of Finance. This is an opportunity for you who currently work as an accounting manager and want to take on greater responsibility in an international hotel environment, where you can combine operational accounting work with analysis, follow-up, and team leadership. About the Role As Financial Controller, you will have a central role in the finance department. You are responsible for ongoing accounting and lead the work of the accounting assistant team. The role involves close collaboration with the hotel's department heads and management group, where you contribute with follow-up, analysis, and financial support. You report to the Director of Finance and are part of a finance team consisting of six people. Key Responsibilities Lead and quality assure ongoing accounting within the finance department. Coordinate the work of the accounting assistant team. Ensure correct results for each accounting period. Conduct monthly follow-ups with department heads. Prepare accounting entries in connection with monthly closing. Responsible for reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts. Handle accruals of prepaid expenses. Prepare and report VAT and tax returns. Assist in the preparation of monthly reports. Participate in internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations. Support accounts payable functions and income audit as needed. Participate in other tasks within the finance department. Your Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent. 3–5 years of experience as an accounting manager or similar role. Solid knowledge of Swedish accounting principles (USALI is a merit). Experience from the hotel or restaurant industry is a merit. Good communication skills in Swedish and English. Very good Excel skills and experience with accounting systems, preferably SAP. Personal Attributes Structured and thorough. Independent but enjoys working in a team. Communicative and pedagogical.
