We are currently seeking a qualified recreation instructor to join our recreation team. As a recreation instructor at IES Sigtuna, you will deliver care and support before and after school hours to our students in grades F-6 and be responsible for teaching in accordance with the national recreation curriculum. In addition to these duties, you will also be responsible for providing specialized support to students based on their individual needs. We are looking for staff who, like us, believe in giving students the opportunity to realize their full potential, regardless of background. You must also be knowledgeable and passionate about education and children. You should have the tools to create a calm environment and be able to inspire students.
You will be part of a work team that together plans and develops recreation activities. You understand the importance of collaborating with your colleagues, maintaining routines and rules, seeing opportunities, taking great personal responsibility, and having a friendly and respectful approach to everyone you meet in the workplace. Furthermore, you must have a strong ability to build positive relationships with students, guardians, and staff. Additional qualities we seek are the ability to work in a structured manner while remaining flexible. The ability to lead groups to motivate and create participation is extremely important. You work well in a team but can also take your own initiative.
