Uppsala University, Department of Medical Sciences Description of the Subject Area The disease panorama in pulmonary medicine spans several major public health conditions such as asthma, sleep apnea, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), allergic airway diseases, and lung cancer. Within these areas, the research group conducts clinical and epidemiological studies. In collaboration with preclinical research groups, the group also participates in several translational projects. Duties The duties include research, teaching, clinical service, and administration. Teaching includes course responsibility, course administration, and supervision of doctoral students. The holder also has a responsibility to follow developments in their own field. The appointee is expected to lead an active research group and to initiate and conduct research projects. The appointee is also expected to have the ability to competitively obtain external research funding. The position also includes clinical work as a specialist physician in pulmonary medicine at Uppsala University Hospital, which entails close coordination between research, education, and clinical activity. SiS Youth Care Home Sundbo, located outside Fagersta, serves non-school-age boys with psychosocial issues, criminality, and substance abuse problems. Job Description We are now seeking a cook on a temporary contract at Sundbo Youth Care Home. The role of a cook involves planning, preparing, and cooking nutritious and quality meals for the institution's youth. Meals and nutrition are an important part of our mission, as we prepare approximately 100 portions per day, 5 days a week, divided into two meals. In addition, the kitchen staff also prepare weekend meals. As a cook, you work in a team with other kitchen staff and are operationally involved in the work. You need to be comfortable cooking in a large-scale kitchen while viewing the kitchen and dining hall as a cohesive whole. Your tasks include, in addition to preparing daily meals, placing orders for goods, planning menus, and packing items that departmental staff collect for their units. Your duties also include self-inspection in accordance with applicable legislation and adherence to the state framework agreement for orders.
