Operations Monitor at EcoDataCenter
EcoDataCenter is building one of Sweden's new mega data centers in Borlänge and establishing the organization to operate it. We are now hiring operations monitors who want to be part of the startup phase and ensure stable, secure, and well-structured operations of mission-critical infrastructure. This is a role for someone who thrives when technology, analysis, and decision-making come together. You don't just monitor systems when something happens—you actively work to detect deviations before they develop into incidents. At the same time, you help establish procedures, routines, and processes for how our monitoring function will operate as the campus grows. About the Role As an operations monitor, you and your team are responsible for monitoring and following up on the technical systems that keep the data center running. You work in an environment where high availability is critical and where the right decisions at the right time have a direct impact on operations and our customers. Each shift begins with a structured handover where you create a shared situational picture, review ongoing events, and prioritize work. The majority of the role involves analyzing system status, monitoring trends, and detecting deviations before they become operational disruptions. Approximately 80 percent of the work is preventive, while the remaining part consists of handling incidents and coordinating appropriate actions when something occurs. You work with systems such as BMS (Building Management System), PME (Power Monitoring Expert), and other monitoring platforms where you analyze operational data, assess alarms, and collaborate with departments such as electrical, mechanical, operations, and other technical functions to ensure stable operations. For major incidents, you follow established processes for classification, escalation, and follow-up. This role is part of a completely new monitoring function being established in Borlänge. Together with your manager and colleagues, you develop routines, procedures, and processes while the campus grows and the number of systems, buildings, and customers increases progressively. Your main responsibilities: Monitor and analyze critical technical systems including electrical power, cooling, automation, and data center infrastructure Identify deviations and work proactively to prevent operational disruptions Handle, prioritize, and follow up on alarms and incidents according to established processes Coordinate measures with other departments and technical functions Ensure proper logging, documentation, and traceability of events Participate in developing routines, monitoring processes, and procedures Contribute to analysis, lessons learned, and continuous improvement work Who Are You? You have experience from technical operations, process monitoring, or other activities where high availability is critical and decisions need to be made based on technical information. You thrive in a role where analysis, structure, and problem-solving are just as important as technical understanding. You are curious and see connections between different systems. You don't settle for simply reacting when an alarm sounds—you want to understand why it occurred and how similar situations can be prevented. When multiple things happen at once, you stay calm, prioritize correctly, and communicate clearly with your team. As a person, you are responsible, structured, and unpretentious. You enjoy working closely with others and are motivated by being part of building a new function where procedures and routines are still being developed. You don't need to know everything from day one. What matters most is that you have a desire to learn, take responsibility for your work, and enjoy working with others to find solutions. We value diverse backgrounds and experiences and believe the best results are created when people with different perspectives work together. If you recognize yourself in parts of the role but don't meet every point in the requirements profile, we still encourage you to apply. Qualifications Technical education in, for example, electrical engineering, automation, energy, cooling technology, or equivalent work experience Several years of experience in technical operations, process monitoring, or other operational technical activities Experience handling alarms, deviations, or incidents in mission-critical operations Strong technical understanding of complex technical systems Ability to analyze information and make structured decisions under time pressure Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing Ability to work shifts, including evenings and nights Merits It is meritorious if you have experience or knowledge within one or more of the following areas: Experience from data centers or other critical infrastructure Experience with BMS, SCADA, PME, or other monitoring systems Experience with electrical power, backup power, UPS, automation, or cooling systems Experience working in a control room or Network Operations Center (NOC) Experience with incident management according to established processes Other Information You will report to the Critical Infrastructure Systems Director. This is a permanent position with a 6-month probationary period. Position on-site in Borlänge. As part of the recruitment process, we conduct background checks for final candidates. For questions, contact Talent Acquisition Partner Emma Gällstedt at [email protected]. The application deadline is Sunday, August 30, 2026.
Nurse for the Vascular Surgery Department, Unit 5
We are looking for a new colleague to join our wonderful work team. Are you looking for a varied and patient-centered role at a small and familial clinic with many different operations under one roof? Then we might be looking for you. Duties In vascular surgery, we care for seriously ill patients with vascular surgical conditions, both acute and elective, but they also have medical conditions. This gives you broad knowledge of disease within both surgery and medicine. Our patients are often multimorbid with kidney failure, heart failure, diabetes, etc. We are therefore often a good springboard for future careers in acute care such as ICU, anesthesia, and ambulance services. We have a high level of monitoring and extensive medical equipment. On the vascular side, we operate on large blood vessels such as the aorta, carotid artery, and arteries in the legs. Patients are prepared with us before surgery and then return for postoperative care. Wound care is also a major part of our work, which can include necrotic, venous, and surgical wounds. Some patients also need compression bandaging, and we also use vacuum therapy for difficult-to-heal wounds. On the ENT side, it is common to see nosebleeds, thyroid operations, and patients who for some reason have developed airway obstruction and need a tracheostomy. You gain broad competence in this as we regularly have these patients in the unit. About the Workplace Here in vascular surgery, which is its own clinic, you are welcomed to a workplace with a familial and open work environment. The clinic has 14 patient beds. These are distributed among vascular surgery patients, eye patients, and ear-nose-throat patients. Our operations also include arterial and venous outpatient clinics close to the unit, unit-based surgical operations, clinical research, and aortic screening. How Does Teamwork Look? In vascular surgery, we have close collaboration within the team. There is always a doctor available in the unit, and several doctors are often present during rounds. We value our close collaboration and have a very familial atmosphere where everyone's perspectives are heard. Our managers work very closely with us in patient care. We have rounds both in the morning and afternoon, which gives us a good overview of our patients as a team and ensures a safe and quick care process. Since rapid mobilization is a very important part after all vascular surgery, there is a physiotherapist assigned to the unit who participates daily in the teamwork. What Development Opportunities Are There? In addition to our care unit, we also have an arterial clinic, venous clinic, and a unit-owned operating room. We do not have staff employed only at the clinic/operating room—rather, staff from the unit are trained at the clinic or operating room after some time working in the unit. This provides solid professional development and an even better understanding of the patient flow within specialist care. At the arterial clinic, nurses work alongside biomedical scientists and doctors. Here we see everything from patients referred from primary care, acute visits, and follow-up visits of treated patients or patients we follow for any reason. At the venous clinic, nursing assistants and doctors work together. This clinic focuses mainly on difficult-to-heal leg ulcers and compression bandaging. In our own operating room, located in the unit, we perform day surgery for varicose veins. A nurse, a nursing assistant, and a doctor work there one day a week and operate on approximately 6 patients per shift. For us, it is important that you feel good and enjoy your work, so we offer you: - customized introductory program so you feel safe and secure in your professional role - opportunities for professional development through, for example, internal training - a workplace for different stages of life, with the possibility of flexible working hours within certain limits - free training at our fully equipped gym - wellness allowance of 3,000 kr/year More information about your benefits can be found here: https://regionvastmanland.se/jobba-med-oss/dina-formaner/ Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse or in the final stages of your education, preferably with experience in the profession. If you have previous experience working in similar operations, that is a merit. Since you will need to communicate verbally and in writing with patients, relatives, and colleagues in this role, good Swedish language skills are required. Other language skills are a plus. As a person, you are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. Since work can change quickly in various ways, you need to be flexible and able to maintain your calm and focus in new situations. You have a good ability to structure your own work and take responsibility for your tasks. We work in a team and see collaboration and clarity as very important ingredients for success. Since we work closely with both patients and relatives, empathy is an important ingredient in your daily work. We place great importance on personal suitability. Terms of Employment Permanent employment, full-time. Rotation day-evening-night shifts. Start date by agreement. We apply individual and differentiated salary setting. Application Welcome to submit your application by August 30, 2026. When you apply, you should only attach your CV and preferably relevant grades/certificates. You will also be asked to answer a number of questions that are part of our selection assessment. We do not use personal letters in our recruitment process. Learn more about the region's recruitment process and how to create a good CV here: https://regionvastmanland.se/jobba-med-oss/att-soka-jobb-i-region-vastmanland/ Interviews may take place on an ongoing basis, so do not delay in submitting your application!
