Your responsibilities - analyze, influence, and develop
In the role of officer, you will work to increase flexibility in the energy system. The role involves driving analyses and investigations into what measures society needs for increased flexibility. Beyond analyzing and investigating needs, you will also drive action among stakeholders who are important for flexibility. You will work closely with colleagues who also have the task of developing flexibility within the energy system.
You will be part of a team that, among other things, manages a new investment support program (Kraftlyftet) and the Energy Mapping Act, both aimed at accelerating large energy users' work on energy efficiency and flexible energy use. The team also works with implementing knowledge-raising initiatives and networking activities, where energy system flexibility will be part of the focus.
The role involves collaboration with colleagues at the agency and other stakeholders in forums at both national and international levels. Travel occurs both within Sweden and abroad.
Qualifications
You have an academic degree that the employer deems relevant for the role, such as a civil engineer or a degree with a natural science focus. You have experience working with energy-related issues, particularly those concerning flexibility within the energy system, and possess knowledge of the conditions for flexibility among energy users. You also have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as well as good data skills in modern IT systems.
Furthermore, it is advantageous to have experience working with power grid-related issues, preferably in collaboration with industry, data centers, or other large energy users. You have worked with energy efficiency and are accustomed to producing high-quality reports. It is also advantageous if you have experience from an agency or region within energy or industry-related matters, as well as knowledge of the regulations and market factors that affect flexibility within the energy system.

About us
The Business Unit works with industry's energy transition toward fossil-free operations and work with carbon dioxide storage and use. This is done through, for example, national and international environmental monitoring, analyses, investigations, knowledge-raising initiatives, and collaboration. The unit also manages implementation and administration of various policy instruments within the energy field, such as legislation under the Energy Efficiency Directive, investment support, and knowledge-raising initiatives.

Good to know
The position is a permanent employment with an initial six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement. Positions within the Swedish Energy Agency may be placed in a security classification, which means security clearance and background checks according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Upon permanent employment, security placement at the agency may become relevant.
