The Reinforcement Team: Consultant Life's Variety – With Security and Team Spirit
Do you want the variety and excitement of consultant life, but miss the security of municipal employment and strong collegial support? WE are launching a brand new initiative to strengthen our internal expertise and stability within the Social Services Department in Nynäshamn: the Reinforcement Team. We already have our first employee in place and are now seeking two skilled generalists – social workers with broad experience who love variety and can quickly get up to speed in new areas where needs are greatest. Here you'll have the chance to broaden your expertise across all the department's areas, drive development, and make a significant difference where it's needed most. Does this sound like your next step? Then we need you! Welcome to our Reinforcement Team at the Social Services Department. Job Responsibilities As part of our new Reinforcement Team, you'll become a key resource for the entire department. Instead of working for a specific unit, you'll step in as an expert resource and strengthen different work groups during temporary vacancies, sick leave, or peak periods. Your focus is on public administration tasks: handling applications, investigations, decisions, and follow-ups. Each assignment gives you a unique insight into different operations. You'll move between areas such as intake, children and youth, adults (financial assistance, substance abuse/addiction, housing and intimate partner violence), and elderly and persons with disabilities. For this reason, it's a significant advantage if you already have broad expertise in legislation such as SoL, LSS, LVU, LVM, or family law. When you're on an assignment, you'll be supervised by the business unit's group manager. However, your fixed base and security is with the Financial Assistance and Adults unit, where you'll be part of a group of three case workers reporting directly to the unit manager. Since these are brand new positions, you'll help shape how the team works, and over time there are good opportunities to lead strategic projects within the department. About the Workplace The Social Services Department's main mission in Nynäshamn Municipality is to offer individually adapted support and services throughout all stages of life. What sets us apart is our size and our unique culture. We're large enough to drive digital development and offer real career paths. At the same time, we're small enough that you'll quickly get to know the entire organization and build an enormous network. The Reinforcement Team is being created because we want to phase out external consultants and instead invest long-term in our own staff. The idea is that the three of you on the team complement each other. You don't need to know everything from day one; you'll build and develop your broad generalist expertise together based on the department's needs. The Challenge and the Upside: The biggest challenge in this role is what makes it so exciting: being able to quickly adjust and move into different work groups for shorter periods. Your closest community will be your own small team of three people. If you thrive on variety, enjoy meeting new colleagues, and want a flexible working life in the municipal sector – then you'll thrive with us. What We're Looking For To succeed in this role, you have: - A degree in social work (socionomexamen) - At least 5 years of work experience in public administration - Strong knowledge of the Social Services Act (SoL) - Strong knowledge of the Lifecare management system - Good knowledge of and appreciation for teamwork or family-oriented working methods - A valid driver's license (Class B) It's a merit if you have: - Training in the department's areas of operation - Experience working as a consultant - Strong knowledge in multiple areas of the department's operations - Strong knowledge of special legislation such as LVU, LVM, LSS, and legislation regarding family law - Good knowledge of BBIC, IBIC, Instrument X, and Signs of Safety Personal Qualities We're Looking For To thrive in the Reinforcement Team, you appreciate a dynamic workday. You adapt easily to new circumstances, can quickly shift perspective, and see opportunities in change. As you move into different work groups, you need to be able to plan, organize, and prioritize your work efficiently. We're seeking someone who takes responsibility for their tasks, structures their approach, and drives their processes forward. At the same time, you bring a positive attitude to the assignment. You act in accordance with shared goals and guidelines, and have the professional maturity to raise concerns in the right setting and with the right people. Because you'll become an important resource for the entire department, you'll constantly meet new people in your work. This requires you to work well with others and relate to colleagues in a receptive and flexible way. You listen actively, communicate clearly, and handle challenges constructively. In interactions with both colleagues and community members, you're always calm, attentive, and accommodating. You have a genuine interest and willingness to help others, and you gladly make an effort to deliver good solutions where they're needed most. What We Offer You With us, you'll make a difference in people's lives. Here you have close access to your manager and colleagues, influence, and decision-making. Nynäshamn is a calm and secure municipality. Security also exists in our teams – we're unpretentious, we encourage and support each other when needed. Nynäshamn Municipality is part of Sweden's strongest growth region. Our journey offers you opportunities for challenges and varied work tasks. We offer access to a gym. You'll also receive wellness hours or a wellness allowance. You have the option of swapping vacation and pension time. We have an active employee association where you can rent cabins in the mountains and archipelago. You can also participate in various activities such as padel, kayaking, and horseback riding. Here we offer flexible hours and shorter working hours during the summer. There's also the possibility of remote work. Our Recruitment Process We use continuous selection and a competency-based recruitment method for a fair and objective assessment. Diversity is an asset, and we welcome all applicants. Nynäshamn Municipality has chosen to eliminate the personal letter and replaced it with selection questions that are relevant to the position. Your answers to the selection questions and your CV will be the basis for determining whether you're qualified to move forward in the process. This position requires a criminal record check (belastningsregistret). We look forward to your application and hope you'll become part of our team! Researcher
Department of Animal Biosciences We are seeking a researcher who wants to work on developing new and innovative detection methods for identifying chemical and infectious substances, as well as various types of biomarkers for pathogen detection. The long-term goal is to develop detection methods that can be used in research but above all provide practical benefits through routine use outside academia—for improved food safety, enhanced animal and public health, and optimized pharmaceutical treatment. This position provides excellent conditions to establish your own research line, and it is expected that the recruited researcher will actively seek external funding to ensure long-term financing of the research direction. About the Job At the Department of Food Safety, Infection Biology, Pharmacology and Toxicology (LIFT), we work across a broad range of subjects: food safety, bacteriology, parasitology, virology, One Health, pharmacology, and toxicology. What unites all these fields is an interest and need to develop new innovative detection methods for biological molecules as well as chemical and infectious substances. In many cases, it would be desirable for these detection methods to be designed so they can be used in field conditions. LIFT is now recruiting a researcher in the field of developing innovative detection methods to intensify our work on these issues and to increase collaboration between the different subjects at our department. The researcher position is fully funded for four years, and the recruited researcher is expected during this time to work actively on seeking external research grants to ensure long-term financing of this research direction. The work will be conducted in close collaboration with existing researchers at LIFT, and therefore the person we seek must have excellent collaborative skills. Duties include planning and conducting research initiatives, presenting research results and writing scientific articles, supervising students and doctoral candidates, conference participation, actively working to obtain external research funding, and some administrative work. We are looking for someone who wants to work on developing new innovative detection methods with the long-term goal of improved food safety, enhanced animal and public health, and optimized pharmaceutical treatment. The focus is on identifying biomarkers for detection of pathogens, as well as chemical and infectious substances and other biological molecules. Your Background We seek someone with a scientific background and a doctoral degree in one of the scientific areas we work with at LIFT (food safety, bacteriology, parasitology, virology, One Health, pharmacology, and toxicology). It is a requirement that you have your own experience with independent, practical laboratory work in advanced method development within one of these scientific areas. The experience should include development, optimization, and validation of molecular, enzymatic, or cell-based analytical methods. Since it is a stated ambition that the developed methods should also be able to provide practical benefits outside academia, we would like to see that you have documented experience working with innovation and commercialization, as well as research-related work in regulatory environments where the quality, documentation, usability, and acceptance of new analytical methods outside academia have been in focus. We are looking for someone with strong personal motivation for research work and a long-term ambition to build your own academic research line. Furthermore, you need to have good ability to collaborate with many people, as we have the ambition for this to be an interdisciplinary effort that includes all subjects at LIFT. It is a merit if you have scientific experience (e.g., your own research work, grant applications, teaching) from several (at least two) of the subjects we work with at LIFT. Furthermore, it is a merit if you have documented experience working with innovation and commercialization. For this position, it is required that you speak and write Swedish fluently and have good knowledge of English. The position will be offered to the person who, after a qualitative overall assessment, is considered to have the best conditions to carry out and develop the current work tasks and contribute to positive development of the operation. About Us The Department of Animal Biosciences (HBIO) is part of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science and is responsible for education, research, and postgraduate studies in several basic and applied scientific areas. We are on a strong growth journey and have developed from approximately 100 MSEK in revenue in 2016 to over 1,000 MSEK in just a few years – thanks to both expansion and acquisitions. With over 2,500 employees, we work together toward a shared vision: to create the world's leading camping chain and deliver memorable experiences for our guests – every day. What does the role involve? As a Property Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that the destination's buildings, facilities, and outdoor areas are well-maintained and functioning properly year-round. The work is both practical and planned – you perform ongoing maintenance, repairs, and improvements, lead seasonal maintenance staff, and ensure that everything runs smoothly in daily operations. You work closely with the Destination Manager and the property department, plan maintenance, monitor status, and contribute to long-term facility development. The role is independent, varied, and important to the whole – where your commitment is visible in both the comfort and overall experience for the guest. Your work includes, among other things: Responsibility for ongoing maintenance and upkeep of buildings, technical installations, playgrounds, and green spaces. Performing basic carpentry, repair, and service work as well as ensuring that machinery and tools are used and maintained correctly. Conducting rounds, inspections, and reporting, and initiating and following up on measures. Planning the week's work and leading seasonal maintenance staff with clarity and structure. Collaborating with the Property Department on projects and long-term planning. Contributing to safety, fire protection, and order at the destination. Acting with hospitality and service mindset in contact with guests and colleagues. Working proactively and contributing to improved routines, standards, and working methods. Working closely with the Destination Manager regarding improvements and maintenance work. Being able to support other departments as needed. Who are we looking for? We are looking for a responsible and practical person with a genuine interest in maintenance, quality, and service. You are comfortable working independently, planning your day, and taking responsibility for getting things done – always with a focus on safety, order, and well-being. To succeed in the role, we see that you have: Vocational training in property management, construction, technology, or equivalent experience. Experience with maintenance work, property management, or craftsmanship. Good planning ability and experience taking personal responsibility. Ability to lead and instruct seasonal staff. Basic IT skills and administrative organization. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Driver's license (category B) and the ability to use the destination's vehicles in your work. An advantage would be experience from camping, hotels, or other service-oriented operations. As a person, you are thorough, solution-oriented, and helpful. You like to see the results of your work and are proud of creating environments where both guests and colleagues thrive. You are unpretentious, enjoy collaborating, and contribute to a work environment where everyone helps each other reach common goals. What do we offer? With us, you'll be part of an ambitious company with both heart and forward momentum. The role gives you the opportunity to make an impact, develop, and grow – while working closely with both people and operations.
