A key task going forward is to manage extensive new assignments in the identity field such as state e-identification, state ID cards, and establishing an ID center to disseminate expertise in this area and combat identity-related crime in collaboration with other agencies. The Department Office is tasked with supporting department leadership in strategic and operational management and governance matters. This includes responsibility for the department's activity planning and monitoring, as well as coordination of overarching issues such as finance, work environment, competence supply, communication, emergency preparedness, and security matters. The office is responsible for the department's processing procedures and handles incoming matters, referrals, and distributions. The office also has a team responsible for the department's overarching activity and capability development. This task includes coordination of the department's development portfolio, responsibility for the department's overall environmental monitoring, and providing support with senior project managers who can assist units with resources and methods. DUTIES Since the office is under development and has a broad mandate that includes qualified case handling and support on inter-agency matters, as a case handler with us you will have the opportunity to contribute across various areas based on your expertise and experience. You work at a strategic level and provide strategic support to department leadership on cross-departmental issues. The tasks may therefore vary and develop over time based on the department's and leadership's needs. You are a generalist experienced in working with strategic, sometimes operational, and generic assignments. We are looking for someone who can support the department's mission and development. The main duties are: • Support the department's strategic leadership by preparing various decision-making documents and providing support with planning and implementation across various subject areas. • Analyze and prepare materials for referrals, reports, and correspondence. • Coordinate, distribute, compile, and document various materials. • Manage and develop departmental administrative workflows. The role involves many contact points and close collaboration with managers and colleagues across various parts of the agency. You therefore need to be able to switch between different types of tasks, quickly familiarize yourself with new issues, and transform complex information into clear and usable materials. You are experienced in working broadly and taking on strategic and cross-departmental assignments based on the department's needs. QUALIFICATIONS This is an opportunity for you if you have: • Academic education in fields such as law, economics, HR, political science, communication, or another relevant area, or equivalent knowledge and experience acquired in other ways that the employer considers relevant • Current work experience from government/public administration in case handling/subject matter expertise that the employer considers relevant • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written It is advantageous if you also have: • Current experience working in a government office handling cross-departmental and inter-agency matters. • Experience working in a large and complex organization with many employees, multiple business areas and organizational levels, as well as experience collaborating across organizational boundaries. • Work experience from the Swedish Police Authority.
