JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As an occupational therapist, you work with the whole person and their physical and cognitive abilities. The occupational therapist's areas of responsibility include assessments of patients' activity and functional capacity, training interventions in the home, prescription and fitting of assistive devices, environmental assessments, and issuing certificates for housing adaptations. The work includes informing, instructing, and guiding patients, care personnel, and relatives. The occupational therapist and physiotherapist work closely with other professionals such as home care staff, residential staff, nurses, and social workers in their geographic team. As an occupational therapist, you have many contacts with patients, staff, and relatives, which requires that you have good communication skills, are attentive, and have an aptitude for creating and maintaining good relationships. Person-centered care and participation are important guiding principles for us on the journey toward nearby care. You will play an important role in our continued work to develop municipal primary care together with colleagues and your manager. The position includes responsibility for patients both in special housing and in ordinary housing. As a member of the rehabilitation unit, you work daytime, Monday through Friday, and we have flexible work hour agreements. You work from a centrally located office in Färjestaden.
