The Legal Department at Försäkringskassan is now seeking qualified lawyers (specializing as legal experts) for several areas within the department. Tasks and Responsibilities The Legal Department is responsible for the legal governance of Försäkringskassan's operations. This includes: - Responsibility for legal governance within the social insurance field, which includes developing regulations, general guidelines, and legal positions, - Responsibility for legal governance within EU social security coordination, monitoring and analyzing EU Court of Justice case law, and coordinating the agency's EU work and international cooperation, - Responsibility for standardization and coordination of administrative law and matters related to digitalization, data protection, and transparency and confidentiality, - Responsibility for the agency's regulatory development needs for amended or new statutes and consultation responses on legal matters, - Providing legal support to the agency's departments that do not work with social insurance law, including matters within business law, security and preparedness, transparency and confidentiality, and administrative law. This lawyer position suits you if you want to and can work independently, with significant responsibility and authority. An interest in various societal issues is also valuable. You may represent Försäkringskassan in external forums, such as meetings with the Government Offices, other agencies, and civil society organizations, and in work against abuse and crime in the welfare system. Part of the work involves developing operations and working methods. You will work broadly with many colleagues both within the agency and with external partners such as other agencies. Your Background We are looking for someone with a law degree who is a notary or has equivalent experience in other qualified legal work. You must have very strong legal knowledge. Experience from a higher court in general courts or administrative courts (such as an assessor or legal secretary) is a merit. Experience in qualified legal work in the Government Offices or another agency is also a merit. Your Qualities You have excellent collaboration skills and thrive working with others toward common goals. At the same time, you can take your own initiative, work independently, and take responsibility for delivering high-quality results. You have a systematic and thorough work approach. You also have strong analytical abilities and express yourself very well orally and in writing. You can adapt your communication to your audience and situation. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Other Information Multiple positions, permanent, full-time, with start date by agreement. Probation may be applicable. Some positions at our agency involve participation in security-sensitive activities. To be hired for such a position, you must pass a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
