We are seeking an Assistant Principal for Bromangymnasiet, our excellent upper secondary school that serves as a natural gathering place for approximately 1350 students and 180 staff members. At Bromangymnasiet, we offer 14 national programs, an International Baccalaureate program, and adapted upper secondary education. The school also houses functions such as study and career guidance, administration, reception, and student welfare services. The gymnasium is part of the same operational area as municipal adult education, Lärvux, Vocational University, and learning centers, which allows us to collaborate and share resources in a seamless manner. Your office is located in the heart of the school, surrounded by your fellow school leaders, the administrative unit manager, and the school's administrative staff. The position will be filled subject to required decisions being made. Duties As an Assistant Principal, you will plan, lead, and organize operations by delegation from the Principal. The role will include operational responsibility and personnel responsibility by delegation based on the Principal's and the operation's needs, and the position will be directed toward one or more programs. Within these programs there is well-developed student welfare, engaged and experienced educators, and established collaboration with the school's other national programs and with adult education. Together with your colleagues, you will gradually develop the unit to create good conditions for students to develop and be challenged according to their abilities. As an Assistant Principal, you have an important role for the entire Bromangymnasiet – not just the programs you are responsible for. You and your fellow school leaders share responsibility for the entire gymnasium. You are part of the school's management group – a forum where you both tackle challenges and support each other on matters concerning the entire upper secondary school and its development. Your Profile Are you a confident, clear, and structured leader who is passionate about working with others to create a good work environment for your staff and a school that provides opportunities for every student to succeed? We are looking for someone with perseverance and determination who sees the goal through by seeing the bigger picture and who wants to contribute to the entire school operation! The position requires that you hold an academic degree that we consider relevant to the assignment and that you have experience with pedagogical work. We would like to see that you have completed or begun principal training. In this position, we require that you master both Swedish and English, in both speech and writing. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. Employment requires that you provide an excerpt from the criminal record register. About the Department We teach children to read, calculate, and discover the world around them. Here we follow our youngest residents from preschool until they graduate from upper secondary school.
