About the operation Vascular-Thorax Department 53/IMA is part of the highly specialized care provided at the University Hospital in Örebro. The department forms, together with our intensive care unit (TIVA), vascular clinic, and our operating department, the operational area Vascular and Thorax. We focus on heart, vessels, and lungs. Patients are cared for in department 53 pre- and postoperatively. In addition to regular ward beds, Department 53 has an admission unit and 6 intermediate care beds (IMA).
