Your Responsibilities As a preschool teacher, you work based on current curriculum guidelines and plan, implement, evaluate, document, and develop pedagogical activities together with the rest of the team. Using the curriculum as a foundation, you choose methods, content, and approach based on each child's knowledge, experience, and specific circumstances. You work to create a safe, engaging, and educational preschool. Together with your team, you create an environment based on the children's needs and interests, where children feel they have influence and are active participants in shaping the preschool's environment and activities. Collaboration with other staff is another important task, as work with the children happens in teams. You're willing to drive both your own and the preschool's development forward. Your work is characterized by clear respect for the individual and good relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. As a preschool teacher, you have overall responsibility for the pedagogical activities in accordance with the curriculum's guidelines. Together with your colleagues, you're responsible for providing children with a learning, playful, varied, meaningful, responsible, and fun time at preschool. Your Profile We're seeking a qualified preschool teacher who is confident in their professional role. You're active and interested in driving and participating in the preschool's development work, and you're well-versed in the preschool's curriculum guidelines. You're a researcher-minded educator who can challenge children in everyday situations through play and imagination, and you have a good and professional approach. You have a purpose for every material and its placement, and you transform every environment into a learning environment whether children are indoors or outdoors. It comes naturally to you to organize activities so they suit the group of children, and you constantly work to shape and develop the learning environment based on children's questions and the curriculum's mission. Good collaboration skills and a professional approach toward children, guardians, and colleagues. It's a merit if you have work experience. Beyond your theoretical and practical knowledge, we place great importance on your personal suitability. It's also a merit to have experience working with digital tools. Employment The position is a contract role at 100 percent from September 8 through December 31 with the possibility of extension.
