Qualifications We would like you to have nursing education with a focus on healthcare. The courses Acute Care 200 credits (formerly Healthcare 200 credits) and Medicine 2 100 credits (formerly Medical Basics 100 credits and Nursing Care 150 credits) are desirable. Alternatively, equivalent older education or nursing program with diploma after 2022. We also take relevant work experience into account when assessing your qualifications. Experience in pre- and postoperative care is an asset. To assess employability, grades from your nursing education must be attached to your application. Great weight will be placed on personal qualities. Application Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis during the advertising period. The application should include CV, cover letter, and grades from nursing courses completed, as well as any proof from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare of protected professional title. About the operation Vascular-Thorax Department 53/IMA is part of the highly specialized care provided at the University Hospital in Örebro. The department forms, together with our intensive care unit (TIVA), vascular clinic, and our operating department, the operational area Vascular and Thorax. We focus on heart, vessels, and lungs. Patients are cared for in department 53 pre- and postoperatively. In addition to regular ward beds, Department 53 has an admission unit and 6 intermediate care beds (IMA). On IMA, patients who no longer need intensive care but still need care at a higher level than on the ward are cared for. IMA also functions as a postoperative department for our lung and vascular surgery patients. Region Örebro County is one of the county's largest employers.
