Short-term Care Unit You are responsible for a unit with 10 patients and work closely with a nurse colleague in the adjacent unit. Admissions and discharges occur continuously. More intensive collaboration with both internal and external actors before and during the stay as well as at discharge. Planning and coordination of the patient's continued support and care is central. Functional Support and Social Psychiatry Here you are responsible for more patients, as the need for municipal health and medical care varies between individuals. In addition to the common work duties, there is more coordination between different care providers, such as primary care, habilitation, and specialist care. Also, many contacts with next of kin. You become an important function in coordinating the patient's care and work closely with your nurse colleague to provide patients with the best possible support, security, and continuity. These are treated with targeted radiation therapy and/or chemotherapy/immunotherapy. The most common oncological diagnosis with us is lymphoma, where our specialty is CAR-T treatment – a treatment where the patient's own T-cells are genetically modified to attack cancer.
